This review is from: Avista Sonitus Flat Panel 55-inch TV Console with Glass Shelves, Black (Kitchen)
My wife and I think this TV stand is absolutely gorgeous! We're buying a 55" Panasonic G10 plasma TV for ourselves for Christmas which we don't want to wall mount. We live in the Puget Sound WA area which is earthquake prone, so we also didn't want to just buy a console and plop the TV on top of it, even with wall straps. There aren't too many stands that will take a large flat screen. This one barely does. It measures about 19 3/8" from the top shelf to the center of the mount, which is not quite enough to clear the center speaker of my 5.1 system. However, there are enough mounting holes in the brackets that bolt to the TV that I think I can nudge it up 2" more so that won't be a problem. There is plenty of room, both vertical and horizontal, on the bottom shelf for both my Pioneer SC-07 receiver (enormous) and my APC power conditioner. The second shelf has room for the DVR stacked on the DVD player, with the center speaker on the top shelf."Some assembly required." This is a very complex system, though not too complicated if you go slowly and look closely at the instruction sheet. The instructions are mostly line drawings with numbers that match up to the appropriate baggie of nuts, bolts, washers, screws, and such. A great number of them. A 10mm wrench and an Allen wrench are also included. I put it together over the course of a couple of evenings, and even with a glass of wine, I only made one small mistake, when I stuck all of the little package of silicone dots between the steel frame and the bottom shelf. Fortunately, our local builder's store had more of them very cheaply, so now I have little gummy-dots under the other two shelves as well. The steel frame is piano-black, glossy powder-coat, and the tempered glass shelves are opaque or barely translucent black. It goes well with our equally glossy black NHT Verve speakers and other electronics. This stand is very sturdy and well balanced. Mine was drop-shipped from Avista in Southern California and arrived in 4 days in perfect condition. The packing is very well done, with the glass in fitted styrofoam, inside a box, inside the shipping carton. We were a little concerned that the size might over-power our viewing room, but it just kind of floats in space, so our worries were for nothing. We couldn't be happier with this purchase. Now all we are waiting for is Black Friday and the TV.

customer service sucks a big one. The TV stand came without some veryimportant pieces need to complete the finished product **** if you decide to purchase this product before assembly check for all the parts(i should have listened to my brother who was helping me with assembly who said to check parts). very expensive. i was angry when my bookshelf center speaker didnt fit the top shelf. the shelves dont adjust and that sucks becuase i need to position the center channel speaker to the middle shelf. next time im going with omni mount for the wall install. Avista turned me off. i will never use them again.and its too damn expensive. If you decide to use the wire management system as intended by the manufacturer do not expect to hide all the wires well if you have many devices such as receiver, center channel, ps3, cable box, and PC which is on my stand. i spent the $400+ not worth it really.
