Aviva Arctic Blast Inflatable Snow Sled

This sled was comfortable and fun. But it only lasted a day before being punctured by fresh snow/sleet. Granted our hill was not a groomed ski slope, but it was clear of rocks and sticks. The material just didn't hold up well in the cold. It became a little brittle, causing it to puncture easily on just a little bit of rough snow/sleet. In the future, I'll stick with a tougher material.

The sled is very durable, handling an adult and kid without any problems. The only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 was because it was shipped in the manufacturer's box, not contained within another box, and it was quite tore up when I received it. The sled itself was not damaged, however, and provided many hours of snowy fun.

Once inflated, which is quite a chore due to the number of different valves. Once you're on the slope, you need at least 15-20 min to inflate all its parts. You cannot pre-inflate it unless you have a Suburban!! Once you sit on it... the seams come apart. I wrote to the source and they promised to reimburse us... within a few "business cycles". They never did. So either you have a dishonest operation or incompetent staff.

I bought two of these sleds for my two boys. One of the sleds punctured at a seam prior to use. The good news is that I was able, after a number of emails, to get my money back. The other sled is doing great, but we are very careful under what snow conditions we pull it out.
This sled is large and very comfortable, however, I think you need to be prepared for heartbreak if you order this and don't have a backup plan.
