This is great with the Affirm Fiberguard relaxer. Although it is to be applied to the entire hair including new growth. I am indecisive if I will put it on my new growth again because my hair was extremely textured afterwards. I didn't want to relax bone straight any way, but I would have liked a slightly straighter result seeing that I stretch my relaxers. I know the benefits of putting it on the entire hair strand, but I do think that this effected the results IMO.Another thing, if you ladies or gents don't want to spend this amount of money. A sort of alternative (note: the Affirm Preservo is supposed to do something a lil bit different tho) is to use unrefined coconut oil. Just apply it to the relaxed hair only and let it sit for 14 hours (to penetrate). It acts as a barrier against the relaxer, moisturizes the hair, helps with protein loss while you will be combing your hair which you should do to untangle and lightly part hair prior to relaxing and helps prevent hygral fatigue.
