I am a big fan of Skin So Soft and use it every summer when my baby (well, toddler now) and I go camping with friends and family in the deep woods of Michigan. We put it on after our showers and it softens our skin and gives us easy non-toxic bug protection. Plus we smell great. Can't beat that! We never bother with the stuff that's marketed as bug spray. This works just fine for us.

Avon's website has fantastic sales. The only downside is they will bombard you with advertisements after you order. I have loved this product for over 30 years and have never found any other bath oil which softens my skin as deeply as SSS Original Bath Oil. And I have tried many. This is the best. And it smells very "clean" too.

Actually, I purchased Skin so Soft as an all around skin softener for myself. I tend to have dry skin most of the year and worse in the winter. The bonus is using SSS in the summer tends to keep the flies and other insects away from me!! It has a pleasant fragrance, not overwhelming, but the bugs don't like it. My skin is soft and there is no itching or flaking. And, NO BITES!

I bought this as a recommendation for my 8 mo. old daughter to keep bugs off of her. Works well, but I gave it 4/5 stars b/c it gave her a mild pink rash on her legs since she has super sensitive skin. I cannot apply directly onto her skin, but I can apply it to me so the bugs stay away from us when I'm holding her outside. I also rub some in my hands and lightly brush it on her sundress & hat. Works well. Love that scent from when I was a child.

I tried quite a few "Bug Sprays" and nothing seems to work as well as SSS. Mix this stuff with alcohol and re-apply, YOU WILL EVADE THE MOSQUITOS! (It seems to work OK with biting flies) With all the sprays I have tried, re-application is the key. This stuff works great IF you can get used to the smell. It should feel much better spraying yourself down with bath oil than DEET =O The Burts Bees Repellent was pretty good, but not really comparable. Avon is making Bug Repellent now, and I would imagine it works well... definitely not as cost-effective though!

I have to admit it, I did not purchase this product for myself but for my dogs! I heard that SSS deters fleas and with the price of vet meds these days, I thought I would give it a try. IT WORKS!!LOL...I will add a precaution. Put the SSS in a spray bottle and spray them outside. It has a baby oil consistency and will slick up a tub in a heartbeat. I can see how it would be nice in a relaxing bath for me as well. I will definitely buy it again.

This is an old time favorite. I didn't have an avon Rep nearby. It was very easy and convenient to order on line. I got the product in a couple of days. The price is a great value.

I heard that SSS deters fleas and bugs. I have used it for over a month and feel satisfactory. It seems working quite well. It smells good. I use it a few times every day.

Bought it for a bug repellant. Works pretty well. To avoid chemicals I'm willing to take a small risk that I might get a bite or two.

I bought Skin So Soft because bugs were eating me alive. After I started using it, they stopped biting. Period. My skin felt wonderful, as well. I recommend this product highly.
