3.0 out of 5 stars Avril Lavigne Karaoke, June 13, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Avril Lavigne Karaoke Top Tunes CDG TTM-124 (Audio CD)
Okay , When I first bought this album , I thought it would be instrumental tracks with the vocals digitally removed . It turned out to be their own version of the song without any words . But the music is still almost the same . So if you're expecting raw instrumental tracks , you've come to the wrong place , but if you want something close to it , Then buy this album . I would recomend it if you're just looking for something close to the real thing .

5.0 out of 5 stars Avril Lavigne - Disgustingly Mature?, May 24, 2004
This review is from: Avril Lavigne Karaoke Top Tunes CDG TTM-124 (Audio CD)
Through reading previous reviews on Avril Lavigne, I was somewhat shocked and rendered speechless. Her first single, "Dont Tell Me"
,off the hotly anticipated new album, "Under My Skin", has been crucified and annihiliated to say the least.

The remarks have been the crude language and dealing with issues far too mature for the majority of her fans. I somewhat disagree with this, although you may attract an audience with your music, ultimately you are writing what you feel is true for you and no one should stop because of the possibility of someone hearing it who is not mature enough to deal with the issues.

Teenagers losing their virginity is an imperative issue in today's youth, Avril's song creates an awareness of such issues. The brutal fact is everyone will have to deal with such issues brought up in the song, if anything, she should be commended for not placing, "Losing your virginity", in a sugar-candy coated light. What Avril Sings is raw and real and because of that many teenagers will be able to relate.

She firmly shows the gravity that such decisions can have upon your life and that such a decision as losing your virginity creates a moral dilemma, turning your world chaotic.

For the other reviewers who have slammed her for her issues, may I remind you that we are not living in a box. On our Tv Screen are pictures painted from our civil war and 9/11. Wake up to you all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Whoa, April 5, 2004

To the person below me, Holy S@#$!!! Don't crucify Avril if she wants to shed the pretty girl pop-punk image that once was her. As a tru artist, her music will change and progress thoughout albums. Just because some stupid six year olds admire her doesn't mean she should refrain from writing what she feels. It is the parents responsiblility to decide whether or not they should let their kids listen to Avril in the first place. Because, as everone knows, "let go" has darker undertones than most other pop-princesses.
