Awaken Ignorance,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Awaken Bharata: A Call for India's Rebirth (Hardcover)
This is perhaps an excellent way to come into terms with our own understanding of the oppressed and the oppressor, for anything that sounds are reads "Hindu." Myopic vision restricts one's openness and can lead to insecurity that prevents one to test and validate one's beliefs. David has accomplished a straight forward approach in presenting this thesis. Rest is upto the reader..

A Guide to Hinduism,
By A Customer
This review is from: Awaken Bharata: A Call for India's Rebirth (Hardcover)
In this book, David Frawley (Vamadeva Shastri), offers an insight into the various facets of Hinduism and the threats faced by the religion and its practitioners. He describes the various cornerstones of the religion and their relevance to the modern-day world. He also details how the western world and its policies have affected Hinduism in a negative way and lays down the steps that need to be taken to revive Hinduism. He goes on to talk about the dangers of dividing the world into cultural spheres based on religion. Finally, he points out the need for restoring Hinduism to it past glory and the benifits the world can accrue from it. In all, it is a well written book. It can serve as a good starting point for non-Hindus researching the religion while reaffirming and expanding the fatih of the practitioners of Hinduism. |
