I was looking for something that could quickly help me get rid of my painful conditions and my medications that have such an adverse affect on me and my health. I have searched everywhere and tried everything I could find, with little to no result. I heard about the Bowen Healing System from a friend. They didn't know much about it. In reading this book I learned volumes about the Bowen Healing System and how it literally resets the body to heal itself on its own, using a very simple and all natural approach. After someone understands how the body is DESIGNED to work, the Bowen Healing System makes nothing but sense (the book goes into wonderful detail how the body is designed to work). The book goes into detail what makes the Bowen Healing System work so remarkably well. There is a VERY long list of conditions that the Bowen Healing System addresses - there is well over one page in the book! There are all kinds of testimonies, cases studies and a frequently asked questions section in the book too. After reading the book, I knew that I had to go to have this treatment. I personally went to see Dr. Raymond Augustyniak, the author of the book, and I was AMAZED at the results. After only a couple of treatments I was back to being my happy and healthy self again. I also learned that Dr. Augustyniak has developed ALL KINDS of new Bowen Healing System techniques that help with things like Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Diabetes, Carpel Tunnel, Epilepsy, Migraines, TMJ, all kinds of intestinal disorders and more! Dr. Augustyniak has developed advanced Bowen Healing System Sports work, that he calls Sports Bowen, and that it works so well on athletes that people fly in from all over the world to see him. I just have to say that the Bowen Healing System is miraculous. It surely worked when the chiropractic, massage, physical therapy etc. did not even come close. I bought the book to give me an understanding as to how Bowen therapy works. The book does not accomplish this purpose. The book is in serous need of simplification. Also, there does not seem to be any organization to the book. There is no table of contents.
To me, he overstated what the Bowen technique could do to help people. His long list of claims as to what the technique can do to help people with their illnesses turned me off. I bought the book to get an idea what the Bowen technique could for my chronic daily headaches that may be due to muscular imbalances. I do understand that the technique is based on the the mind-body connection. And that you have to retrain the brain to correct muscular imbalances. On the plus side, the section of the book that dealt with people he has treated, does give you an idea how Bowen therapy address patients medical problems. Furthermore, the book is over priced.
