I first encountered Neville on the recommendation of a Religious Science practitioner. Since that time, I have read all of Nevilles books and all I can say is POWERFUL! I re-read this book for the second time and it seems that the principles explained and put forth in this book really shined in their clarity this time around.

Neville says, Imagination is the gateway of reality. As one reads this book, which one can be finish in one day, this idea of using ones imagination in the basis of reality is constantly honed into the reader. Some may find his repetitive honing in of this concept too repetitive, but for me, this repetition was exactly what I needed to really grasp and truly understand the important concepts that Neville was trying to impart to the reader. Neville clarifies his concepts with actual stories of people manifesting what they imagined. Nevilles concepts are steeped in quotes from the Bible, not over done at all, which further illustrate and help the reader to grasp the concepts. The abundant life that Christ promised us is ours to experience now, but not until we have the sense of Christ as our imagination can we experience it.

Neville teaches the reader to use ones imagination, with all of ones senses, to manifest that which they desire in reality. Neville wants us to see it as fulfilled NOW, to act as if it were happening NOW and to abolish all negative thinking to the contrary. One has to let go and know that it will happen and to not wonder how or why. The mind is incredibly powerful, as Ernest Holmes, the founder of Science of Mind teaches: Change your thoughts, change your life. Neville says, Man becomes what he imagines. On both accounts  so very, very true!

The reviewer, who said that this book is not for Christians, has completely missed the entire thought and basis for this book. This book is for everyone, as one must have the belief that, Spirit, Christ, God, or what ever name you want to use, is at the heart of all we want, imagine and manifest. Imagination is Christ in man. Neville points this out quite clearly and often, so that the reader can grasp this main and very important concept. Neville urges the reader to think from the end  in other words, to imagine that what you want has come to pass. To realize his ideal, man must first change the pattern which his imagination has followed. The way to change the outer world is to make the inner speech and action match the outer speech and action of fulfilled desire.

I absolutely love this book and have highlighted and underlined most of the book! This is a book that needs to be read more than once and referred to again and again. It works  it truly works  but one has to step out of fear, know and have faith that it will happen and know that it comes from God, from Christ, from Spirit, from The One. Inner speech mirrors imagination, and imagination is Christ.

This book is powerful, it is amazing and if followed, one *will* see miracles manifest in ones life. The other books by Neville are just as powerful  The Power of Awareness, The Law and The Promise and Your Faith is Your Fortune, are my favorites.

This is the kind of book that will become worn and torn, as one constantly refers to it time and time again  it is a classic to be savored.

Said by many including the great Nisargadatta Maharaj is that our imagination creates our experience. Neville shows us how to use that imagination with sustained attention to create experiences and thigs that we want. His understanding of this principle agrees and possibly surpasses the other sources which are mostly channeled works. I've read a few Neville works and found audio lectures. His material is consistently enlightened. His books also seem to overlap quite a bit which is fine. You get the core ideas with any book but each has it's own flavor. His book "The Power of Awareness" is also terrific.

To the reviewer who says that this material is not for Christians, a view which is endemic, especially in the more fundamentalist groups, how about the following quote from the Man himself?
"Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11:23-24)
This is EXACTLY what Neville is recommending to do, no more, no less. Don't try to learn about Jesus from so-called "Christians"!

One of my all time favorite books. I've read it at least 20 times.

So much in this book rings true to me. Much of the same exact text I read earlier in Paul Twitchell's book the "Far Country." Paul Twitchell copied directly from Neville.

I first read the ideas in this book 12 years ago. Unfortunately I'm still not sure how to apply the ideas to get everything I want. Maybe I am manifesting exactly what I am imagining and expecting on a subconscious level. Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to "Think from the End," and then to live by what you imagine. (Fear of going broke in my case.) Can I mold my life solely by what I imagine?

Imagination is very important and much of the time action will help you manifest your imagination. Imagination appears to be in the inner worlds what action is down here on the physical.

"We must move mentally from thinking of the end to thinking from the end."

Imagination is the most fantastic principle of life to me. Life is beautiful when I live from my imagination and focus on my most beautiful dreams.

Ask yourself if your life is basically a creation of your imagination and beliefs. Do you attract into your life circumstances by what you think, believe and imagine?

I used this Imaginative principle to make negative situations into positive ones. When you look for the silver lining you almost always get it.

Don't be put off by the author's simple style. What he relates here is easily accessible and can be attempted by anyone. You can buy other books to "fine tune" your own personal method, but the simple truth that Neville gives here is simply stated, "imagination creates reality". By adopting the authors approach we can all influence our lives positively. An earnest attempt to follow what the author suggests will produce results. It may sound simple but no one said simple could not be profound. Besides, for the price of this book, you can't go wrong. If it doesn't change your life, pass it on to someone else and perhaps change theirs.

TO the reviewer who said Neville tells the reader to make an idol of what we want, I would say "did you really read this book?" Neville never said anything like that, and in fact he told the reader to not see or worship any person as 'master' or 'leader'. Obviuosly that reviewer did not understand what the essense of Neville's writing is about.

Neville said to accept no idol or master, and he recognise that the only cause and power of our life is our consciousness. If you want a car or a job, you never make it an idol, nor do you worship it. But you always know that your consciousness, your "I AM" (made up of your thoughts and feelings) is the creative power to which all things are possible. Haven't you seen the word "I AM" written on some crucifix because in the Bible God told Moses his name is "I AM".

Read it and you will know that the Bible is truly allegory and symbolism, not historical facts. For almost all the names in it, if you understood Hebrew and the meanings of each Hebrew alphabet, you would easily see it is plain symbolism. Even the events are symbolism, much as the Wizard of Oz which tells man that what he is seeking is already within. Example, Peter(who symbolises Faith) cuts off the soldier's ear (symbol of old hearing/understanding), and Jesus (awakened consciousness) restores and heals the ear (new hearing/understanding from the awakened consciousness). And even Jesus went to the Garden of Gethshemen, and 'Geth' meant "to press out", and shemen is 'an oily substance' (similar to our modern word semen). This was a symbolism of the creative act of consciousness, which the ancients likened to man's procreative act, hence the hidden meaning. And while He went there to meditate, he asked his diciples (the disciplined faculties of mind - such as faith, hearing, understanding etc) to stay on watch at the door(of consciousness).

This book is highly recommended for serious christians and non-christians alike, anyone who would like to know the truth about the Bible's hidden meanings. It takes real FAITH to break away from the beliefs of the majority which were taught by "bible scholars"(what makes them scholars anyway? just because they attended sunday church and reads the bible everyday and never read any other book outside the bible because it is 'sin'?) and preachers who reads the bible as fact and history just because they heard their preachers talk about it since they were a child. Can you let go of past preconceived beliefs which you were comfortable with, and read this book with an open mind to find out the real hidden messages? Or someone who wants to believe what he believed since young, just because the world believes in it, just to have a comfortable sense of belonging? Do not leave your spirituality and quest for truth in the hands of the church or some temple and so called bible scholars, and let them spoonfeed you every sunday. That is the lazy man's way. What the church teach is if you say you believe Jesus and praise him as God, then you are saved and go to heaven. Can salvation truly be as simple as that? The concept of 'believe' has been truly misunderstood.

The camel can pass thru the the hole on the wall of Jerusalem called the "needle's eye", only if the camel lets go of his pack on his back (of dogma and past beliefs).

This book by Neville is a simple yet profound read for anyone on their spiritual journey. It gives you hope instantly that YOU can change your reality, your life experience and make it what you want. By simple techniques using your awakened imagination, you can and will change your life experience.
His simple style of writing gets right to the point, showing clearly how we are all connected (whether we realize that or not). And when you read this book its like a meditation within itself.

I have been using Neville's method for less than a year, and I have seen changes and results in my life. Without saying a word to some people in my life, I have been able to improve the level of interaction and reduce the conflict and stress level.
This is a wonderful book. And as another reviewer said, if you don't get what you are looking for from the book, pass it on to someone you know whose life it will change.

I have been studying psychology, spirituality and consciousness for almost 30 years now. I practiced as a psychotherapist for 12 years. For the price of a $10 book, I believe you can find key answers to life's mysteries in Neville's classic, Awakened Imagination. The reasons this book is so profound is that (1) it allows the reader to take responsibility for his/her life as an on-going creation, (2) it allows the reader to change his/her life through the simple concept of imagination, (3) it remains true to current consciousness theory and the new physics, (4) it augments and illuminates other courses such as Field Training (fieldcenter.org), the Avatar Course (avatarepc.com) and A Course in Miracles (facim.org), (5) and it makes the Bible more palatable for those of us who have become disillusioned by its literal interpretations.

My circle of friends and I have been "Neville-ing" for sometime now, and are amazed at the results. Simple, powerful, fun - try it!

Neville is a creative genius, awakened imagination is a good way to start reading his material, this book is small and concise however very profound in its content. Much of Neville's work is based on bringing into your life what you truly desire to manifest by thinking from the end, that is to accept the premise that everything is already created in our world....it's all a matter of shifting your consciousness in order to bring all into being. So much is revealed to you when you awaken your imagination....a vast of incredible creativity. His writings have inspired much of my poetry. Powerful stuff!!!! This book inspired both of my poems "Pieces Of Creation," and "Creation"
