I loved "Embraced By the Light". It changed my life and way of thinking! "Awakening Heart" did not have the same effect until the end of the book. "Embraced By the Light" challenged old belief systems that were not working in my life and really made me stop and think and want to learn more. "Awkening Heart" seemed redundant until the end, where new information was given. Overall, it is worth the read.I can't wait to read Betty's latest book.

This is a very enlightening book. It can help you to understand your spiritual self. This is not as awe-inspiring as "Embraced by the Light" but I definitely recommend this one to any person trying to understand themself and God.

After listening to Embraced by The Light on tape, I purchased this book on tape. I've listened to it several times now and benefit greatly each time. I believe that Betty speaks real truth because her message is simple: See with the eyes of love and the world is very different. I think it is best to know Betty's story from Embraced before reading or listening to this book because it is a continuation. I gained an inner peace and calm nature from learning this story that years of psycho-therapy could not have produced.

Betty J. Eadie continues her message of love in The Awakening Heart: My Continuing Jorney to Love. In this book, she just as delicately conveys her message of an afterlife and that the most important things in life are love and knowledge -- those are the two things we take with us.

In The Awakening Heart . . . Betty tells how her life was affected by the success of Embraced By The Light, and how she struggled with the message she had recevied from the near-death experience. She explains how she felt that earth was so drab and conveys her yearning to return to her real "home" where there was colors like we've never seen here on earth, and where there is love like we've never felt.

Painstakingly, Betty knew she had to live her life fully for her family, and that she had a job to do. She didn't know what her purpose was, but she knew she's be on this earth until it was completed.

An so, The Awakening Heart is Betty's continuing message, in more detail. If more hearts awakened to messages like those that Betty has delivered, it would be a better world.

I so loved Embraced by the light that I sought out other books by Betty J Eadie. This book gives the message of hope and love, but not like her first book. Still worth reading if you are a fan of Embraced.

For the person/s worried that the bible and Christianity are diminished in this book, its message goes well beyond the bible and religions. Love embraces all religions yet exceeds all of them in its magnificent majesty. That universality and common humanity are the very fabric of what Eadie is discussing. Namaste...

In having had what I call a soul illumination experience happen to me in May of 2009, I related to some of what Betty described in this book. I realized that what happened to me was my own heart awakening! I found myself tearing up over things that Betty expressed because it resonated so much of what I've gone through. There are many parts of the book that I can quote, but to make it brief I shall choose only one: "Spiritual healing must precede physical and mental healing and that we determine whether our spirits draw on the positive or the negative energy available to us."

And as other reviewers have stated, I would definitely recommended reading Betty's books in order since this one is a continuation of her first book "Embraced By The Light." I also intend on reading "The Ripple Effect" after this.

I have always enjoyed Betty's books and similar authors. Now I have become a big fan of a book and author even more revealing! I refer to the newly released book Where Heavens Meet by k.t. Frankovich. Value for money there is no comparison either, as it includes incredible full page colour photos. I have not read Betty's 3rd book yet, but I doubt it will match up to Where Heavens Meet

I have listened to the audio books of "The Awakening Heart" and "Embraced By The Light" by Ms. Eadie. But sometimes a conflict of standard Christian beliefs and what the books tell us arises. I believe that Ms. Eadie really believes in her experiences. She calls Jesus her "Savior". Yet, in her books, on her "experience" she states that Jesus says the world needs all of the religions. Isn't this contrary to what Christians believe? That there is only 1 way? This phrase has made me struggle with the rest of the books. I can only hope that it is accurate. Worth the time to read
