Awakening To Kabbalah: The Guiding Light Of Spiritual Fulfillment by Rav Laitman is an outstanding documentation of the author's observations on spiritual enlightenment, metaphysical awareness, and fulfillment that through the years as a spiritualist and scientist has come to understand. Insightfully progressive, Awakening To Kabbalah introduces the reader to many historical figures of Kabbalah since Abrahamic times, as well as informs of an intricate and enabling path to ultimate contentment. Awakening To Kabbalah is very strongly recommended to non-specialist general readers with an interest in Jewish Mysticism in general, and Metaphysical Studies in particular.

Having read hundred of books on the subject of Kabbalah I had become very despondent. Most of the books I have read on Kabbalah had been watered down with esoteric teachings such as Tarot, Meditation and other such things. This wasn't what I was looking for.

Finally I came across Michael Laitmans book and finally I have found what I was looking for. No red strings, no holy water or other such things, just real Kabbalah taught in a logical and easily understandable way.

If you have ever wondered what the meaning of life is then you need look no further than this book. An excellent, excellent work.

"Awakening to Kabbalah" is aimed at anybody who has an interest in spirituality, and as you read the book, that interest grows. You find yourself testing things that you read in the book in your everyday life, which bring questions, and you take those questions back to the book. Each time you find you learn more about Kabbalah, it means you have learned something more about yourself; and in turn, you learn how much you don't know.

Essentially, what it does is it invites the reader into the spiritual process which is the wisdom of Kabbalah. If questions like "who am I?" "what is reality?" and "what is the purpose of everything here?" haunt you, then you will love what this book has to offer.

This book delivers the "goods" if you are truly interested in spirituality and have a strong hunch that Kabbalah is the way to achieve it. It is a clear and basic introduction to the wisdom of Kabbalah. I have read many books on Kabbalah but this one offers a clarity that is almost crystalline in its approach. There is purity, an undiluted explanation of the science of Kabbalah minus all the new age gimmicks that lately seem associated with it.

I was able to follow the rationale of why it is truly a science, why the world is in its current state (egoism) and what Kabbalah has to offer with regard to that (methodology to altruism). It has actually given me hope! I look forward to reading more from this author and intend to visit the website he mentions in the book.

It is an eye opening experience! It answers for me many questions that I had and so many misconceptions that I thought were true. It just makes sense!

This is a great book for those curious about what authentic Kabbalah is and is not. True to its title, this book is an awakening to Kabbalah versus a book to be studied. This book provides a solid overview of key Kabbalists throughout the ages, why now is the time to study Kabbalah, and what one can reasonably expect from one's own study of this ancient wisdom.

This is perhaps one of Rav Laitman's most approachable works. In it, Rav Laitman discusses the history of Kabbalah, the development of the method of study, the fundamental challenges to the effective study of Kabbalah, and provides a little insight into the age old question "What is the meaning of my life?" - to which he would reply "Adhesion to the Creator."

The writing is extremely easy to digest, and the heavy duty technical aspects found in some of Rav Laitman's books are not really present here. Each concept is pretty thoroughly described and explained, and the text leaves you questing for more. A necessary addition to any library on the subject.

The very first page of this boook told me the remaining pages would be an education in understanding my world as well as my place in it.
The sage's statements about Kabbalah are worthy to be read again before each chapter of the book: "on the learning of the Zohar there are no restrictions" is a beautiful way to begin to study. Awakening to Kabbalah is a treasure of wisdom at my fingertips, helping move me from a stale version of life into the light of understanding the reason for "me", my life and the difficulties, lack of meaning and what real freedom consists of.
The book builds step by step from the `beginning' to `choosing my destiny'. And isn't that what it's all about? To learn the method of achieving equivalence with the Creator that becomes at once my goal and a way of life.
This little book is one everyone should read if they yearn for a better life, happiness and true peace.
