A masterful exposition on indian philosophy and yoga.,
By John Waters (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Awakening The Life Force: The Philosophy and Psychology of Spontaneous Yoga (Paperback)
This is an excellent book on both Indian philosophy and the basics of pranic or kundalini awakening. Rajarshi Muni writes with great authority and has synthesised a very simple but profound understanding of spiritual growth via spontaneous/kundalini yoga. The last part of the book gives a taste of what spontaneous yoga is about, which if you have experienced the awakening of the life force, you will be able to relate to. I look forward to further books from Swami Rajarshi as there are few authors who present their understanding in such a clear and definitive way.

Best Book for Kundalini Awakening!,
By George Sand (NYC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Awakening The Life Force: The Philosophy and Psychology of Spontaneous Yoga (Paperback)
I have no idea how to explain the phenomenon by which the best, most clearly presented books on difficult subjects are also the most obscure, but this book falls into that category. I have read many books on the subject of yoga and have practiced for years. This book is, to me, a wellspring of vital information; everything from an astoundingly simple explanation of karma to clear definitions of yogic terms. An overview of each of the many types of yoga is presented within. Honestly, I believe the language/terms can be more of a hindrance than a help for westerners who would simply like to learn yoga and not make a life study of it. Don't let the new words stand in the way of buying this book. I think this book is great for beginners and life-long students as a go-to work.
