''Mindfulness'' is a state of awareness that can be learned as a method of coping skillfully with life's ongoing changes on a moment-to-moment basis. This 'mindfulness' skill can be acquired through meditation practice and the basic teachings associated with this approach. Dr. Richard Fields has done an outstanding job of providing access to the practice of mindfulness in this excellent book, Awakening to Mindfulness
. As with Health Communications' bestselling series, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Dr. Fields serves up mindfulness as 'minestrone for the mind,' in ten chapters, each a special ingredient in this 'food for thought' menu. I highly recommend it for readers who wish to learn more about mindfulness and establish their own practice.'
