I've read Goldsmith for years and he has had a profound influence on my life. Yet this book opened doors in my life to new levels of communion with God the moment I picked it up. This book is a treasure, and if you are drawn to the mystical life, to contemplation with God, to living heaven on earth, to experiencing miracles - read it. Each paragraph, each page, each word will reach out to you and open your mind and your heart to knowing and realizing God in the here and now. I cannot give it a higher recommendation. Blessings,

Sunday, June 10, 2001, Dr. O. C. Smith, Founder and Spiritual Director of the 5000 member City of Angels Church of Religious Science, had this book in his hand. As one of his students, I immediately went to the bookstore after the service and bought this book although I already own numerous books by the author.

After only reading a few short paragraphs I knew that I had been Divinely Guided to read "Awakening Mystical Consciousness." Goldsmith is very clear and teaches the "way" to begin to discover and unfold the consciousness of the mystic in all of us. He takes the reader through the steps to a change in consciousness and begins his lesson in the "Word" versus the Truth, which so many in the metaphysical community struggle with. This book can be read within a few short hours, but the study of it may take years.

you may want to buy this hardback. Since I have begun reading Mr. Goldsmith's works, I find I am not only underlining a lot- but re-reading and re-reading....Mr. Goldsmith has a clear simple writing style that I appreciate. It's nice to have a hardback version of something you know you will contemplate again and again. This has been a summer of reading Goldsmith for me. It's been helpful and meaningful.

Here is another grand book by mystic Joel S. Goldsmith, who provides essential principles to enable you to cope with the personal, community, national, and international problems that so easily beset us all. Special emphasis is placed on attaining a consciousness of spiritual power that frees from fears that engulf the whole world. This text also shows how to apply the discipline of The Infinite Way, another Goldsmith classic, by discovering the healing presence of the Holy Spirit. It was this book that I was required to read when going through the Divine Science Practitioner Training Program. Goldsmith's ideas helped me to open up new channels of spirituality and to embrace the mystic consciousness that lay just outside of my usual course of events. If you are interested in self-transformation, then AWAKENING MYSTICAL CONSCIOUSNESS is for YOU.

This is the best of Joel S. Goldsmith's books I've read so far. On the other hand, I suspect that the others I've read have been equally good, it is just that my understanding has grown a little, so I appreciate this one more.

The author teaches us that in order to heal anyone we shouldn't think of the person or problem to be healed, but just sit and focus on all the attributes of God we can think of, then take a listening attitude. Then we will get a sign that healing has occurred, for example, a feeling of peace or a sense of inner release. Though we may have to practice for some time until we are able to reach the point where we get a sign, and healing occurs.

There is only one power - the power of the spirit. All disease and lack are in essence non-existent, a nothingness. When you see a mirage in the desert, you just get into your car and drive through it, since you know it doesn't exist This is the way you must heal disease or lack - just continue as though they don't exist - which they don't.

One of Goldsmith's basic messages is that as long as we believe in the two powers, good and evil, we will have periods of good and periods of evil. Disease is healed by our lifting our consciousness up to the Divine and praying "Thy will be done in me, not mine."

In my opinion, this is an essential book. Reading a few pages of this book (or probably any book by this author) will help you integrate more and more these basic teachings.

The force is with this one. Joel speaks straight from the divine mind with real integrity. His authority on the subject material is what is truly inspiring. This is quite possibly the best bang for your buck on all of Amazon. Spend wisely.

A must read for any on a spiritual path. If you are a Christian searching for deeper meaning of the scripture, this is the book for you. Mr. Goldsmith delves into the meat of the Word without twisting the context. A straightforward and enlightening new way to apply the Word of God. My new favorite book.
