This was another incredible book/CD by Gregg. I've listen to the CD set five times! It explores the ancient practice of understanding the "mirrors" in our lives. How all the coincidences and little things in life are reflecting a much bigger picture to each and everyone of us. I am a Christian and while I don't much care for his references to Thoth (occultist from the Emerald Tablets fame), everything else I could readily see as truth. Greg is an excellent speaker/writer. He repeats just enough to get the concepts into your head without being a bore. He interjects a few personal stories which help drive home his points in a practical way. Thank you, Greg for another great effort!

This is an ABRIDGED version which really upsets me. This work is availabe elsewhere on the web in the complete 7 CD format WITH a workbook, so I would not recommend purchasing this item at all!

Once I started listening to Gregg Braden's audio books I couldn't stop. Awakening the Power of the Modern God was no exception. Braden presents powerful thought provoking information. I highly recommend this audio book!

The overall content was very astounding and eye-opening. I did, however, download this book as a "born-again" Christian (don't tune me out yet) thinking misguidedly that it was Christian directed. I just want to clarify for other self-proclaiming Christian since I was misguided by reviews into thinking it was a book on one religion, he pulls in a lot of information and facts that most Christians would frown upon and questions the wording of the Bibles we own today.
NOT saying I have a problem with this as the statements he makes truly are worthy of thought and digestion, but this is not a book for people who believe solely in Christianity and that no other religion is near or close to the truth. It is most certainly not southern-Christian acceptable. My father might burn the book if it weren't digital. Or at least show his disappointment.
If you don't feel as though you are mentally prepared for a new truth in your life, wait until a later time. I feel if I had learned a little more in my studies and curiosity this book may have benefitted me more as I was only able to truly digest about half of what he was proclaiming and trying to get across.

I can't say enough good things about Gregg Braden's work. In Awakening the Power of A Modern God he helps you understand that our surroundings can be reflections or mirrors of life issues we need to understand in order to change or release. He bases his findings on scientific research and his own personal experiences. I've heard him in person and he is a powerful speaker. The audio book brings his message to life. It helped me understand why I've brought certain people or situations into my life. I highly recommend this purchase.

I've always enjoyed anything Braden and this set is no exception. The information Gregg puts out is mentally stimulating and enlightening. It's comforting to be reminded of and embraced by "the bigger picture".

This is disappointing for a Gregg Braden CD -- many of which I own. He refers to a workbook which did not come with the set & even makes reference to the Shroad of Turin on the next cd, only to never mention it.

If this is an abridged version, Hay House owed it to the listener to do a better job of editing.
