5.0 out of 5 stars A Book To Experience
When I impulsively bought J. Small's Awakening In Time over five years ago, I had no idea it would become (and continues to be) such an important vehicle of self-realization for me. The guided imagery exercises are powerful tools for growth, understanding and connecting with your higher self. If you are truly opened to finding answers to who you really are, I suggest...

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, March 20, 2000

This review is from: Awakening in Time: The Journey from Codependence to Co-Creation (Paperback)
Ever wondered how psychology and yoga are related? I have. J. Small clarifies the relationship very well. Not much information is available on transpersonal psychology. On that subject, this book is the most comprehensive and easy to read that I have seen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book on relationships and personal growth!, January 12, 2003
By A Customer
This book is perhaps one of my favorite books on personal growth and interpersonal relationships. It integrates many theories of psychology and philosophy to help us develop more wisdom, care, and true strength of mind. This book has helped me understand myself immensely and I am very grateful to the author for this. If you are into books that integrate theories as well as the various fragmented parts of yourself, I also highly recommend the book "The Ever-Transcending Spirit" by Toru Sato. It is a an incredible book that will enlighten you incredibly! Your life will not be the same after reading it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique, optimistic and uplifting look at codependence, June 29, 2006
This volume by Jacquelyn Small integrates psychological and spiritual approaches to addiction East and West. She looks at codependence as a spiritual crisis and presents an optimistic and encouraging path forward to people struggling with these issues.

I am a professional coach and I recommend this book to many of my clients along with WOMEN, SEX and ADDICTION (Kasl). Jacquelyn Small handles this topic with grace, optimism and a level head grounded in solid principles.

This book is spiritual roadmap for me. I use it all of the time now in my quest for self-development. It combines eastern and western thought and gives us a comprehensive understanding of ourselves. (REAL NAME)
This unassuming book is one of the cornerstones of my personal recovery process. I have bought several to give to fellow travelers, and always reccommend it for anyone who is "stuck" in their processes. Nuts and bolts information geared toward "ownership" of your life. In the forest of my recovery she is my naturalist, and knows whats hidden in every post and hole, and how to get it out into the light.
