This is not only one of the best gospel albums I've heard in a while but it is one of the very best Merle Haggard albums recorded in the past 10+ years. Outstanding!

This was a gift to my Grandfather and he loves it! Great musician (Haggard) and great songs...Cabin in the Hills is amazing! Great song for ill or elderly who know their close to passing away.

Merle always sings from the heart but this gospel album seems he gave it a real spiritual commitment. You can feel the emotion in his voice especially on "A cabin in the Hills" and " After we go to guns".
Undoubtetly this will be another legacy Merle will leave us to enjoy and question our own mortality. |
