Fifty Years of Revival Waves, April 2, 2007
This review is from: In Awe In Argentina (Paperback)
Rocky Grams' position as the Director of an Argentine Bible college provides an exceptional opportunity to both observe and partake in the Argentine revival. The book describes the revival as repentance, salvations, infillings of the Holy Spirit, miracles and tremendous church growth that has spread across this nation and across denominational lines.
The book starts with the idea that the Argentine revival is a continuation of the Book of Acts that has swept Argentina with waves of revival that have continued the fifty years since the Tommy Hick's crusades in the 1950's. The book is full of stories of how God's manifest presence has impacted individuals, families, communities, the church and the nation.
Stories of some of the key revival pastors/leaders, including Steve Hill, are inspiring and exciting. Particularity exciting is how God has used and moved through the Bible college students and recent graduates. He includes keys to entering and sustaining fifty years of revival.
This book is a must read for anyone interested in modern day revivals and in time will likely become a classic like Charles Finney's Lectures on Revivals of Religion (but is much easier to read.)
