4.0 out of 5 stars enjoyable "opposites" Regency Romance....., November 5, 2007
An Awkward Arrangement was an enjoyable Regency Romance with the Opposites attract storyline. Molly is an Irish woman, in England, to oversee her Uncles move back to England. Lawrence, Lord Lindworth, is an Earl, who meets Molly and her family because Molly bought furniture, not knowing it was stolen from the Earl.

What follows is a short (204 pages), fairly well written story. It would have been a 5 star if not for the hero's arrogance and boorishness toward Molly and her family, his flighty mother who was always on the point of fainting, and the lack of any romantic connection between the two until three fourths into the book. In fact this is one of the most chaste Regencies I've read in awhile. All in all, I'd recommend it-but only used and if you can get it cheap:)

3.5 stars.
