I have no idea why I like this series so much but I do. I watched the first few episodes free through amazon prime and was hooked. I demolished the first two seasons paid for the season 3 episodes (which I have never done before). I doubt I am the target audience for this show (target must be teenagers and I am mid-30s) but for some reason I am crazy about the characters and the show.

I'm likely out of the targeted demographic for this show..(see the 'My So Called Life' reference) but I like this show anyway. It's a little far fetched with some scenarios: no guidance counselor is ever overstepping boundaries this way..but still you must laugh.
It's a little dark, humorous, and of course, always awkward! If you ever felt even a day of uncouthe in the high school years..sympathize and have a laugh with Awkward.

I'm in my 30's too and I'm hooked! What IS going on? I think it is a well made show and can't wait to watch Season 3.

Awkward takes a different approach from the typical teen framed, it has a quirky vibe, but it's fun and funny while making their point.

I watch this with my 15 year old. It is hilarious, though does veer into raunchy territory occasionally. Still, a lot of fun.

I really like this team angst series. The characters are, for the most part interesting, and are not over acted. Entertaining fluff with a gem or two of real substance each episode.

Love the dry humor. so sarcastic, and adult humor in a teen setting. We all know someone who is oddly like each of the zany characters.

The series continues to have decent writing and dialogue, and the awkward title is fulfilled through the episodes.

However, without going in a spoiler-ific direction, the character development in the show makes me sad. Jenna's path is slowly becoming a non-sympathetic path, Ming is becoming even more stereotyped, and Tamara is slicing from an eccentric outsider to a generic wanna-be.

Not that it all happens at once, but the writing's on the wall, and several characters are writen into making choices that don't seem in keeping with previous seasons. I suppose sometimes you have to invent drama to keep a show fresh, but the conflicts are not as effortless as they were.

Still a fun season (half) and I'll watch the rest hoping that the show returns to the sort of effortless awkward that the first two seasons had.

Just as good as the first two seasons. Very entertaining, nice to watch something that's light and funny. Would recommend for light enjoyable viewing
