Editorial Reviews

German club meisters 'Bass Bumpers' have taken the crazy frog ringtone and merged it seamlessly with Axel F - the tune that uniquely represents 80s movies, the Hollywood dream and Eddie Murphy. Axel F, Harold Faltermeyer's theme tune from Beverley Hills Cop, provides the perfect foil for the 'annoying thing' and is set to have fans hopping on dance floors all across Europe. Axel Frog is the spawn of Reinhard Raith and Wolfgang Boss. Reinhard is one part of the 'Bass Bumpers' and Wolfgang is the director of Mach 1 Records (who previously worked with Harold Faltermeyer), making them the hottest dance production team in Germany. The 'Radio Edit' version of the title track is backed 'Axel F' (Club Mix) , 'Axel F' (Club Mix Instrumental) & 'In The 80's' plus an enhanced section featuring the video for 'Crazy Frog'. 2005.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funniest music video ever!, October 27, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Axel F Pt.1 (Audio CD)
I've seen lots of silly and boring music videos but this one is actually really SMART! The CD is worth buying just for the video. Other reviewers have said the whole thing was just made to make money but that doesn't matter -- I think the makers of the video had a really good sense of humor and a great eye for detail. Me and my mum and dad just keep watching it and rolling around laughing at all the expressions the frog makes.

And I think I agree with my dad when he says the music is no more repetitive than other chart dance hits, and is well choreographed with the music. I say enjoy the video and the tune at face value.

I liked the song and recommend it to anyone who is not easily annoyed by repetitive techno.

I know this CD has taken more than its share of flack. But honestly people, you knew what you were getting into before you bought the product. I you don't like that sort of thing, don't complain about it, just don't buy it, and please don't insult the people who actually do like that sort of thing. My kids adore the Crazy frog. My 7 year old autistic child actually -asks!- to watch the video. In my book, that makes the CD gold. So if you like remix and funny videos, this one's for you. If you're a diehard "don't touch the original", then it's not. Anyway, we liked it, so decide for yourself if you want to buy or not.
