5.0 out of 5 stars Funniest music video ever!
I've seen lots of silly and boring music videos but this one is actually really SMART! The CD is worth buying just for the video. Other reviewers have said the whole thing was just made to make money but that doesn't matter -- I think the makers of the video had a really good sense of humor and a great eye for detail. 2.0 out of 5 stars Just remixing a classic song and putting "ding ding" is not convincing.
I am a huge lover of "Beverly Hills Cop" and the theme song and when I heard this I instantly got irritated. I mean come on! they just stole the frog thing from a funnyjunk thing called "The Insanity Test" that was created 3 YEARS AGO. So overall, why mix a classic song and ruin it when it's already cool?

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Axel F Pt.1 (Audio CD)
I've seen lots of silly and boring music videos but this one is actually really SMART! The CD is worth buying just for the video. Other reviewers have said the whole thing was just made to make money but that doesn't matter -- I think the makers of the video had a really good sense of humor and a great eye for detail. Me and my mum and dad just keep watching it and rolling around laughing at all the expressions the frog makes.

And I think I agree with my dad when he says the music is no more repetitive than other chart dance hits, and is well choreographed with the music. I say enjoy the video and the tune at face value.

I know this CD has taken more than its share of flack. But honestly people, you knew what you were getting into before you bought the product. I you don't like that sort of thing, don't complain about it, just don't buy it, and please don't insult the people who actually do like that sort of thing. My kids adore the Crazy frog. My 7 year old autistic child actually -asks!- to watch the video. In my book, that makes the CD gold. So if you like remix and funny videos, this one's for you. If you're a diehard "don't touch the original", then it's not. Anyway, we liked it, so decide for yourself if you want to buy or not.

5.0 out of 5 stars breakthrough artist goes from cell phone ring tones to runaway music charts hit!, June 23, 2005
This review is from: Axel F Pt.1 (Audio CD)
I must preface this review by saying that I am a HUGE fan of the Crazyfrog ring tones. When I first saw a commercial for his ring tones while watching room raiders on mtv, I just HAD to get them on my phone. ..and for only $2.95/week, it was hard NOT TO that is such a good deal and my mom said its ok! Later that day, my phone rang while I was in this club wearing my totally kewl artifically aged von dutch mesh trucker's hat that I got at the mall, and of course my radical cell phone equipped with crazy frog doing the motorcycle. I picked it up and it was my mom saying to be outside the black bear in hoboken no later than 11pm so she can pick me up... but i still looked so kewl when it rang i kno it.

But anyway this album is so awesome!!!!1111oneoenbbq 5 stars totally all the wayy! i just wish that crazy frog did more stuff like dis!

1.0 out of 5 stars Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh My Ears!, September 18, 2005
This review is from: Axel F Pt.1 (Audio CD)
Anyone who likes this song is mad firstly because it takes a classic song "Axel F" and mixes it with a ridiculously stupid 'frog' sound from funnyjunk.com. Originally the 'frog' sound was a thing called "The Insanity Test". Honestly you would have to be insane to like it. How it got to #1 in any country is mind-boggling. I feel like squashing the stupid little frog. The song is just too repetitive, and here are the reasons why I took 4 stars off its score:

1: Repetition.
- The song is the same verse and chorus just replayed over and over. The same beats and synthetic vocalesque sounds.

2: Commercialism.
- The song was created for the sole purpose of making money and endless spin-offs have been created about it. The song has no musical genius or talent. Utterly horrible.

3: Origins.
- It started off as a ringtone and this shows how desperate they were to add on the money they had already made.

4: Lyrics
- There are no real lyrics apart from "Let's go, go Crazy Frog!!". That really shows they wanted to get the song produced really quick thus making more money.

When The radio comes on with this song you have two options. Firstly either breake your radio or the less expensive measure,
TURN IT OFF!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Crazy music for crazy people, August 1, 2006

I'm speechless. The evil entity known as (shudder) Crazy Frog has completely and totally obliterated the integrity of the original "Axel F". I'm not at all fond of the little mutant. I wish it would go away as soon as humanly possible. I don't think any human being on the face of this earth could stand this for more than a nanosecond, and yet people like it! Scary.

1.0 out of 5 stars ringtone mess, July 17, 2005

This review is from: Axel F Pt.1 (Audio CD)
Just taking an old hit (Axel f- Harold Faltermeyer) and putting some lame techno beat and "ding ding" over it is not convincing. One wonders if todays society is so low that it really takes ring tones as music and buys it on CD. All these ring tone commercials and songs are getting on any musiclover's nerves. Any old song is turned into some "silly sweet ringtone". Horrible.
