We used to have a white TV similar to this that was a promotional gift from our telephone company, but it broke so we started looking around for a replacement and for the price and what features you get this is a GREAT buy. and better made than some traditional small televisions. The colour is a matte finish so it stays clean and neat looking. And there aren't a lot of dust trap nooks and crannies. Sleek and light.

We keep it in the car for when we are out and running errands and one of us stays in the car. It is handy to have on hand when I drop someone off for a doctors appointment and wait in the car. It is also great to have on outings if there is a sports program on that others want to watch.

If there is a downsize it is that it requires 10 D size batteries so buy rechargeable ones and use the plug in jack or the cigarettes adapter whenever possible rather than just the batteries. When we have gone batteries only they last for one or two shows. Which means one average length football or baseball game being broadcast. So use the adapters! And the earphone set up is nice as well. And the antenna folds down easily and out of the way.

This thing cannot tune at all. I live within 5 miles of the broadcast towers of Buffalo, New York, and I can tune in just ONE (1-not a typo) station. It seem to love this station so much that no matter what you set the tuner for, it chooses that station. The sound is just as bad; the station I get has sound, but is garbled behind reason. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT IS A WASTE OF 30 BUCKS

This is an excellent television, perfect for taking on the train, plane, bus or on long car trips. Firstly, I must say I like the look of it. Yes, it is black, but I like the shape and sometimes the really colourful (notice how I spelt colo>u<r) TVs like those from GPS make you want to look at the case more than the television. It is black and white, but colour tubes are quite expensive to make especially in really small sizes and this is only a quarter the price of some colour TVs cost. Grayscale actually produces a better picture than colour with more sharpness. You can even hook up your game console or video recorder to this courtesy of the 2 RCA jacks, and I don't really care whether I am looking at a black and white screen when I am playing games like Dave Mirra Maximum Remix for Playstation. Another great feature is I can take it on holidays with me (once we found out our cottage didn't have a TV, and this came in real handy). Definetly worth your money if you want a portable TV, and it dosen't waste batteries either like colour TVs do.
