The AXN-6091 portable DVD player features a 9-inch widescreen TFT LCD display with 16:9 aspect ratio that let you play music and movie while away from home or on the road. Small enough to fit in your purse/briefcase and nicely weighs at just over 2 pounds, AXN-6091 is perfect for road warrior or a great way to provide in-car entertainment for kids.

The top-loading player offers 3-second anti-shock protection which let you enjoy seamless video playback even on the roughest roads, and the built-in rechargeable battery allows up to 2 hours of continuous play time in a single charge. It includes built-in card slot which let you play your favorite music files or picture files that store in SD/MMC/MS memory cards, AV jack for external TV/Camcorder connection and Hi-fi stereo headphone output jack for private listening. I thought at $79.99 this was a good deal. Buyer beware. The picture quality is less than DVD quality. The color is washed out. It DOES NOT handle SDHC cards. This was the main reason I chose this item. It did manage to play pictures from my 128mb SD card, however the color quality was terrible. I cannot imagine paying full price ($149.99) for this DVD player. My advice - shop around for a different model.

This is a really nice product! I push a button, a cover pops up, I insert a dvd and hit play. The sound and color intensity buttons are on the side as is the on-off button. I put it on my stomach (lying down on the couch) and watch. The sound is okay but could be a tad louder. But it works. And the image quality is fine. And I am really really really happy with it. In terms of sound and image quality, it is far better than my laptop. And it doesn't heat up and is lightweight.

There is a button on the back which you move if you want to attach it to a large screen like a tv I believe. Anyway if that moves, there is no image on the Axion screen. That happened once. Easy, just flip the switch.

I love it. Recommend it. Sorta like having your cake and eating it too. Got it though Amazon at a great price.

The AXION AXN-6091 9-inch Widescreen LCD Portable DVD Player has been a very valuable addition to our viewing pleasure. We can watch a movie or an educational DVD without using the TV and the connected DVD player. When charged, it is possible to watch with no power attachment. My wife watched her favorite art instruction disc, starting at the breakfast table, moving to her comfortable recliner for more. She even used it while she was resting in bed.
The power plug is set up by her recliner, so the unit can be recharged while she watches her art classes. She had thought she would like such a portable DVD player. After she used it for a while, she wouldn't give it up!
