Great picture and sound. Finding the right place for the antenna was tricky. It seems metal objects interfere with reception, including the corners of walls. I keep it plugged in, in the kitchen to catch the news in the morning or while making dinner, so I have not tested the battery life yet. 5 months and I am very happpy.

Good news/bad news: the picture quality is terrific, but I cannot POWER OFF! I called the company and was told to keep the power button down for 8 seconds -- unfortunately it powers off momentarily and then immediately powers back on. The only way to turn it off is to remove the plug from the wall (& even then if there is any battery juice it stays on until the battery runs out). Previously I had read another review here about that happening, but thought it was probably just an odd occurrence, but when it happened to me I assumed that this is probably happening on a much more frequent basis.

Good news: I live in the boonies and the antenna brought in all our local stations very, very well.

The remote does not have a power/on/off switch. I don't know why.

It does not recognize the 75 ohm signal (through the wall) from my satellite -- I called the company and was told it would not recognize the satellite signal through the wall outlet connected to the rf input -- (it has to be connected directly to the satellite box w/rca cables). So if you want it in your kitchen, forget it, unless you have the satellite box in the kitchen, too.

The sound is tinny, but I could live with the unit if everything else worked.

My advice is not to buy this unit as its performance is unpredictable with that power button, and, of course don't buy it if you have satellite reception. It's like a half-baked cake -- too bad they didn't do it right.

I purchased one of these units, but when set to scan for channels, it didn't find any. I even tried connecting cable directly to it. i tried the various cable band settings, no luck. I sent it back. I ordered another one. it performed exactly like the first. No working RF input. I even tried outside where I had a line of sight view of the local TV transmitter.

Here's the worst part, customer service. It is non-existent. I sent an email on a Friday night, it wasn't responded to until the following Wednesday. All is said was, "Call us." It didn't include a number. Fortunately, the number is in the operator's guide. I actually began calling on Tuesday. I left four messages for Reginald. His name is on the customer service outgoing message. He never called me back. I even mentioned that if didn't hear from him today, that I would be forced to leave a negative review on Amazon.com. I guess he doesn't care.

Companies who treat customers this way should not be allowed to stay in business.

I see that other reviewers have complained about not being able to turn the unit off. Well I guess I will never know if that is a problem because I have now sent the second unit back.

The picture is very good, and the sound is also. The reception is good, but dislike the interferences that accrue (car passing by or sitting running next to my vehicle). I found out the antenna gives good reception. Actually went out and bought another antenna (which was suppose to be one of the best) and the antenna that came with this product was better. The product case is very slippery, should have some type of handle to carry it (easily can slip out of your hands when caring it around).

This little TV is very good for a hundred dollar TV .... good picture ... so so sound ... it comes with a separate antenna ... the antenna is 28" high and has a 2" magnetic base ... the antenna cord is 76" long ... I measured it .. this TV is probably very good for camping trips .... you could place the antenna on top of your vehicle while camping ....the antenna is a screw on cable tv type connection which is nice if you want to connect this TV to a cable... the manual says the internal battery life is 2 hours but I timed mine and it actually lasted for 3 hours and 47 minutes before the battery died ... the manual says 7 hours to recharge but I timed mine and it actually recharged completely in 5 hours and 15 minutes ... this TV also comes with an ac wall adapter and a car adapter ..... my wife uses this TV in the bathroom and leaves the ac adapter plugged in so the battery never goes dead .... I guess the only complaints that I would have is there is no carrying handle ... and, for sitting on a table, the plastic leg on the back is flimsy and similar to a picture frame type leg for sitting up straight ... and also, the sound could be better .... but hey it's a hundred dollar television ... it's ok as a back up during a power outage, or while cooking in the kitchen, or camping out ... see my picture image that i put on amazon... I put my Dr. Pepper can and the antenna next to the television for a size comparison ... this is a three star TV but for a hundred bucks, then it's a four star TV .. ...

Picture quality is excellent. I am using the included add-on antenna which gives me 17 digital broadcast stations. Audio is fair, but didn't expect it to be great due to the size of the speakers. However, it has a clear sound. Changing channels is fairly easy using the + or - channels on remote. But, if wanting to go to a specific channel it is a little tricky as you have to insert channel number plus a hyphen plus a one (ex. 30-1) for channel 30. Overall, very pleased with unit. Have been using it since December and have had no problems. I don't believe it is really suitable as a portable because with digital transmissions the unit cannot be moved around. A couple of inches one way or the other and you can lose the station. But that's not a fault of the unit, that's the way digital transmissions work. Have used it on battery only but not enough to know how long battery lasts before it needs recharging.

This is a great handheld LCD TV with many cool features. The control buttons are conveniently located, well marked and easy to read, the picture is crystal clear, it sounds good, and it has a long battery life. I really like it! The only complaint I have is that the antenna is separate from the TV, has a small base, and tips over easily.

Worked well for a few months, then it started to change channels rapidly on its own. Finally died altogether.

I like the TV. the features are very good. You need the antenna on something metal to get reception and the battery only lasts approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours. It depends what you want it for if its a good buy. I just wanted it so I could watch the 11 o'clock news while I'm on the computer and also when i'm in the yard or sitting on the porch.

This was result of purchase of 2 previously, but one had the power button broken. Amazon replaced the defective one very conveniently and quickly. The product is light weight, user friendly and we are able to get many more channels that I expected and the quality is excellent. Highly recommend this product for any one who needs a portable, battery operated television.
