I had done my research on 9" PDVDs before I made my purchase. In summary, this PDVD is the thinest I can find in the market. I bought it recently and I loved it! Best of all, it has this built-in "Axi-port" and i have options to connect it an external TV tuner and gamepad. This PDVD does it all. I will buy another for my friend as Xmas gift.

I've had this player for about a month and it works great. I wanted it to take while pet-sitting and have been very pleased. Many of these players break at the slightest jostle. This one has held up with minor abuse from cats, and it still plays great. It's only been a month, but so far, I am very pleased.

I purchased this DVD player mainly to use the AXI Port for the TV Tuner. The DVD player worked great with a DVD movie. However the AXI Port with the TV tuner did not function well at all. I live in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio and can see all of the major TV network transmission towers from my yard. The tuner was not able to pick up any of the lower channels with its included antenna or even when I attached a powered antenna. I do not have cable and needed something I could use as a portable TV. It's a great idea to have a DVD player double as a portable TV; however, they will need to get a better receiver to pull it off. I should mention that I have an 15 year old portable 5" color TV that I have been using in the same location and I get a great picture without even extending the attached antenna.

Extremely disappointed, especially after having done a lot of research and read the great reviews that this product (and the Axion 7" player) received.

I bought it for my wife for a road trip and she was excited about the large screen and the ability to connect an antenna to watch tv. The player worked fine for the first DVD we tried, but after that the screen freaked out and went almost black. You couldn't see a picture but you could hear the movie just fine. No complaints about the sound I guess, but what good is that if the screen doesn't work?

Needless to say I returned this as fast as possible. In fact, if I could rate it less than one star I would, since it didn't even last one day. Terrible product.

I am very happy that this item meets, and exceeds, the advertised quality. It took no time to learn to use it without reading any directions -- that's refreshing. Don't settle for saving a few bucks - screen size is worth it.

As I stated, don't waste your money on anything this outfit makes. I made the mistake of buying their ANX6090A DVD player. It was priced right and had the features I was looking for at the time. I had 10 DVD's to take on a trip, some new and some rentals, it managed to play one rental DVD and would not play anymore. When I got home from my trip, I contacted the company and after about two weeks they told me to return it for a replacement. I sent it back, at my expense, and after one month they have not sent a replacement. They will not return calls and will not reply to e-mail inquiries. At this point I will just assume that I am out the $165.00 this player has cost me so far. Please learn from my experience and spend your money with a more reputable company. This outfit does not deserve your money.

Horrible!
Did not have any miniSD or USB slots. Get hot way to easy.Battery heavy+bulky. Tried to return still no answer. I give it 1/5 because of price and screen size.

Pros:Price. Screen Size.

Cons: Bad picture quality, heavy and bad battery, gets hot quick, wont chanrge and play....many more.

Overall: Not worth it....i still cant get rid of mine.

I sent n email with the following question to customer service:
"Which formats may I play on Axion AXN6079 7-Inch Twin Monitor Portable DVD System?"
First email answer:"This unit will play most formats." Signed by Reginald K. Johnson.

Asked again:"Will you be so kind to tell me exactly which formats does it play? There are more than 30 video formats...
Textual Answer:"All excerpt VCD's." Signed by Reginald K. Johnson

Third email: Are u sure you want to work in customer service? I'm planning not to buy the equipment due to your help.

2 weeks and still no answer...

That was in 2008 I think. Today, 2 Feb 2010 I received this email, from JOHN <john785@zoominternet.net>:

"I NOTICE THAT WHEN YOU SENT A EMAIL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE REGARDING VIDEO FORMATS THAT YOU TOLD THAT PERSON ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. HE DID ANSWER IT FOR YOU AS HE STATED IT WILL WORK ALL EXCEPT VCD , AND YES THERE ARE MORE THAN 30 THATS WAY HE SAID ALL BUT THE VCD FORMATS WILL NOT PLAY I THINK HE ANSWERED YOU CORRECT BUT YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND , SO DO NOT MAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE TO BE AT FAULT THATS THE PROBLEM TODAY THE CUSTOMERS ARE THE BIG PROBLEM TODAY IN THE SERVICE BUSINESS TODAY , IT JUST SHOWS HOW STUPID PEOPLE ARE AS THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS BEING TOLD TO THEM AND THIS IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF IT FROM READING YOUR PROFILE AT AMAZON SEPTEMBER 30, 2008 "

Nice answer. What customer service!!!

Do not buy this. I bought this for my husband in December for Christmas and it's broke already in fact it started breaking a few months ago. It keeps saying "no disc" parts have broken off. It's a piece of junk. My husband has to put something heavy over the cd cover to watch a movie. DO NOT waste your money on this junk!

Great portability, Good picture for the price. I like the fact that I can plug this player into any TV and play DVD's and also take it in the car, camping or anywhere. I also purchased a small set of external speakers which will really improve the sound. Onboard speakers a little lacking but overall a great value.
