A nice clean look to this shaver, but overpriced in my opinion. I have been using for a few months now and it does not do a thorough job on the face as some cheaper shavers do. Some longer hairs are left and it takes many back and forth moves to finally clean some of those. It does leave the face snooth in general, however. A good feature are the tiny lights on the side which show the state of the battery charge. The charger works well.

The shaver is on sale for 70% off. Great... right?... wrong! You get a brand new shaver that doesn't charge and takes 2 hours to engage the "off" button. Looks nice as a conversational piece. So if you want to put it in a museum and just look at it under glass... great! If you want to shave though I suggest you get your Gillete out! What's worse is tryin' to get your money back from the seller. This is the response you get... "Oh... you're the only one that has a problem with it." "We can't pay for return shipping and there's a hefty repackaging fee." "Oh and if you used the razor you can't return it." Use it! I couldn't get the sucker to charge! I give the review one star for Amazon (they returned my money) who makes me keep coming back because they believe the customer always comes first. Hey Price Bully if you want the shaver back by all means take it... please! Put it in a time capsule for future generations to view! Because that's all you can do with it... view it!

I bought this shaver before it was discounted. Too bad for me.

On the plus side, it looks really nice, it has good controls and features, and the battery life is good.

On the minus side, it doesn't shave worth a darn. I've had many shavers during my many years, and the Axis is by far the worst at getting the beard off my face.

Definitely not recommended.

Purchased this razor awhile ago with the hopes of achieving a quality shave but I was poorly mistaken. The design is sleek but the actual execution is horrible I wouldn't recommend this for any man looking for a good outcome. I'm aware it takes several weeks for your face to get used to a new razor but this product isn't worth the wait. Do not waiste time or money on this razor keep searching for the right one. Buyer beware stay away from Axis AX5330.

I've used several electric shavers, and this is, without question, the worst. It's too bad that they don't allow you to give zero stars, because this item qualifies. Every time you touch the shaver to your face, expect it to buzz and slow down because it doesn't have the power to cut through the most basic and simple stubble. One good thing is that the buzzing acts as a warning signal that the shaver is about to start tugging hairs out of your face, rather than cutting them. To quote my favorite product review of all time, "to call this a flaming pile of crap would be an insult to fire and crap." By the way, I paid about a third of the price on this site, and the item was brand new in its packaging, so clearly there is an issue with selling the product in the first place. Oh, it's the nicest looking shaver I've ever seen, if only the looks matched the performance...

This is also ergonomically sound. However, the only potential downfall is that from the little research I have done it seems like the foil replacements might cost just as much as the shaver itself. But, don't quote me on that. Ive researched it but not enough to say that is for sure or not. So you might want to look into how much and where you can purchase the replacement foils and make your decision then. But overall it's the 2nd to the best electric razor I've ever owned.

I did a lot of research for an electric razor for my daughter, and this was supposed to be a good mid-price shaver. It flat out doesn't cut hair! I don't know if we got a lemon or if they're all like this, but we tried her leg, her arm, my leg, my arm, and the dog's leg. And it cuts very little hair - CERTAINLY not all of it. I am going to return it.

The space age-style, Axis Air Premium Foil Shaver, is not only attractive, but surprisingly quiet. I do not have what one can call a dense beard, I just don't like to shave especially with blades. This product gives you another dimension of enjoyment in shaving your face, not too far from the smoothest, closest shave you can get with an electric shaver. Since I purchased it, I have charged the battery only once and after 6 beards it still going strong - I AM REALLY IMPRESSED AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHAVER: BUY IT.
