Biography

"Outside Love" is ten songs of love and hate that read like a Danielle Steele romance novel but that would probably make for bad television.
"Outside Love" is the third album by Pink Mountaintops, AKA Stephen McBean, who has slowly emerged as a distinctive voice and a very special contributor to the North American songbook. A veteran of the Vancouver/Victoria punk rock scene, McBean is best known… Read more in Amazon's The Pink Mountaintops Store

2.0 out of 5 stars not that good, really, December 17, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Axis of Evol (Audio CD)
there some bands that somehow show up on everyone's radar all thanks to hype without having much substance behind what what they do. Pink Mountaintops is a prime example. This album isnt painful to listen to, but on the other hand it isn't really exciting or new either. They seem to sound like a B-rate Smog meets Velvet Underground tribute band at best. I gave it a few spins and it still bored me for the most part.
