I bought this steering wheel cover for my butterfly obsessed 16-year old sister for Christmas '10. It looked fantastic, and she was thrilled to see it, until she read on the product that it contained LEAD and it shouldn't be used by your hands for long periods of time. Um...yeah. Isn't that the whole point of the product? What a bummer.

Although the steering wheel cover is designed for comfort in either cold or hot weather, which it accomplishes okay, the raised panels and stitching are obtrusive and uncomfortable. And, to make things worse, the materials used smell so bad, your hands always end up stinking of rubber and even a gasoline-type of smell. I now wish I had purchased another, smooth style cover with no stitching/panels on it.

Bottom line: it works, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I loved the colors on the butterflies, very realistic. It was very hard to get on the steering wheel. Had to get hubby to help. After having it on my steering wheel for a week it started to come apart, very disappointing.

Great fit and look! Perfect addition to my new car! I love the colorful butterflies. The feel is very comfortable and stays cool.

I had it all planned out. I'd just had my car in for a paint job a few weeks ago; my little 14-year-old car is all shiny and new-looking, a far cry from her peeling, sad little self of a month ago. I bought this butterfly wheel cover and the matching butterfly floor mats and I thought the lovely, rainbow-y wings would just glisten against the white paint of my car. Plus, the rainbow pattern of my upholstery, which you can only see up-close, would only enhance those almost iridescent colors. Great plan. What a shame the products didn't live up to my ideals. When I pulled this steering wheel cover from the shipping box, the first thing I noticed were the butterflies. They looked like plastic, stick-on decals. The second thing I noticed was that they were placed in the exact position of where my hands would rest. My hands, with their oils and sweat and movement, would be resting/rubbing/sitting directly on the butterflies. Not to mention the sun glaring down on those fragile decorations. Well, I thought, those pretty little wings will be gone in about three months. I was so disappointed, the cheapness of the rest of the steering wheel cover almost escaped my noticed. However, I could see that some of the threads were already coming loose from where the pieces joined together. And the velour pieces in between the butterfly-decorated sections were thin and cheap-feeling. Plus, the product smelled; I could only imagine how much worse or stronger it might smell once it was in my car and had been sitting in the sun and heat. Back it went into the shipping box. No thanks. What a disappointment. I would love to be able to dress my little car up in some pretty accessories, but if I'm paying good money, I want quality items in return.

When I received the product, I was concerned about the possibility of slippage with the suede. However, not only was it a great fit on the 2009 Yaris, it also feels strong and may be durable. It matches well with the butterfly decals on the body of my car.

If I could paint my entire car as a butterfly without seeming like a wacko, I would. But since that is not an option, I will gladly settle for such a beautiful accessory as this item. It arrived quickly, probably faster than it took me to install it. It was impossibly tight at first, but eventually it was on, and I have loved it ever since. It doesn't move at all, the colors are vibrant, the cover doesn't get hot or cold and I would buy it over and over if I have to. BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT !!!

I love this steering wheel. It is very cute. It doesn't get slippery if your hand are sweaty and it is soft to the touch. A little hard to put on but after a little work...I am glad I bought it.

Couldn't believe I got my steering wheel cover the next day. I was pleasantly surprised. Good quality.
