She is hysterically funny, talented, and over the top, a lot of caricature and with a great voice to boot. I play many world CDs as I have a world music program at a local radio station. For those who love ranchera and other Mexican music and especially women artists you can't go wrong.

There's nothing wannabe about this group. She sings with deep feelings and the Tarzanes play their instruments the best that I've ever heard. Their music, although some songs are not original, are my favorite interpretation. I constantly have the music in my head, so I have to listen to the cd quite often.

Listening to Astrid is entretaining, her live performace it's out of the ordinary.If you happen to love the Mexican culture you will get a kick out of this album. Very funny, very surrealistic!

Hadad puts a performance art spin on Mariachi, deconstructing it while singing it better than anybody under 40 whom I've yet to hear. Soulful and fun, frequently both at once.

very funny lyrics, say Mariachi but very tipsy. If you get a chance, don't miss her live shows, multiple custume changes et al. Warmly recommended.
