4.0 out of 5 stars dreamy landscape
This follow-up to Eingya is quite beautiful, although very different. Whereas Eingya was purely instrumental,
Ayres is all songs with lyrics. The songs have a dreamy and soothing quality to them and are wonderfully arranged. But Ayres is only half the masterpiece that Eingya was. If you like Ayres, check out Eingya and you'll be blown away by its exquisitely...

2.0 out of 5 stars I don't really like the lyrics in this one
All of the other albums made by Helios are all instrumental based, this one he decided to make it lyrically based. I really don't like the lyrics in it at all, and I don't think the instrumentals are nearly as good as the other one's; it's like he just put lyrics in place of good instrumentals. Nothing too dynamic in this album either, the only song that stood out in it...

2.0 out of 5 stars I don't really like the lyrics in this one, April 19, 2011
This review is from: Ayres (MP3 Download)
All of the other albums made by Helios are all instrumental based, this one he decided to make it lyrically based. I really don't like the lyrics in it at all, and I don't think the instrumentals are nearly as good as the other one's; it's like he just put lyrics in place of good instrumentals. Nothing too dynamic in this album either, the only song that stood out in it for me was "In Heaven", but that's mostly just because I remember the song they are covering from the movie Eraserhead. The rest of them all kind of sounded the same to me.

I'm sure plenty of people will still like it, just make sure you preview it before you listen. I didn't do this because I figured it would be along the same lines of his other albums, and I was disappointed.
