This review is from: Ayurveda and Life Impressions Bodywork: Seeking Our Healing Memories (Paperback)
Donald Van Howten has provided a detailed guide to his bodywork approach. The book contains a wealth of details about Ayurvedic philosophy and how it can influence a bodyworker's perceptions and choice of approach to a client. The book also includes detailed photographs of handhold techniques, treatment sequences, and much more to help the practitioner. As with most bodywork systems, nothing compares to actually taking a class in person with the writer, but this book is written well enough to act as a stand-alone guide for those unable to study with the author.
