4.0 out of 5 stars Ayurvedic Herbs
A very good book integrating clinical testing of ayurvedic herbs. A bit heavy on the science side but if you know how to interpret clinical studies the book opens up some interesting perspectives for herbal uses.

I do not see where the author has credibility in the study of Ayurvedic herbs. As a Ph.D. in an unspecified science, she is not an actual Doctor of Ayurveda (B.A.M.S. and M.A.Sc.). I do not see where the author has credibility in the study of Ayurvedic herbs. As a Ph.D. in an unspecified science, she is not an actual Doctor of Ayurveda (B.A.M.S. and M.A.Sc.). What is more disturbing is that she cites the recommendation of at least one very strange person. "Dr." Marc Halpern is an ex-chiropractor who teaches an abbreviated, twisted, Westernized and Christianized version of "Ayurveda". He has little actual training in Ayurveda. Indian Ayurvedic methods are complicated and profound. If this author sought out Halpern to give her book more credibility, she has done the opposite.
