Azaléia is a Brazilian company founded in 1958 by partners Arnaldo Luiz de Paula, Nestor Herculano de Paula, Theno José Berlitz, Nelson Lauck and Arnildo Lauck. Together, they produced the first hand-crafted pairs of Azaléia shoes out of a small shoe plant that used to house a bowling alley. Azaleia is the top shoe producer in Latin America and one of the five largest in the world.
