Just Firm Enough,

These are great when you want the traditional look of wrapped bars, yet a bit more squishy. Another option is to get foam grips but they are thicker and would not normally have a wrap on them. With this, it is a thin enough foam that you can wrap it and it has a good ergo shape. It is not so soft that it squishes down to nothing. It has a bit of firmness just like you want.

This works great to absorb the shocks of riding, and I use my road bike for off-roading with my son, so that's important to me, but it does make the handlebars very thick, which doesn't bother me, but has bothered him when he rode my bike.

I bought the same Aztec VibeWrap 2 years ago. I was disappointed that this package did not include the black adhesive "Bar Wrap"! Was this an oversight or does Aztec no longer include "Bar Wrap"?

Handlebar tape/wrapping had never been a thought for me since my previous road bike had foam grips & the bike I owned before that was a bmx. I purchased the Vibe Wrap System for my new road bike since the standard handlebar wrap on my bike really hurt my wrists and somehow made the bars feel too small to grip comfortably.
Shipping was fast & the product came in a spanking new box with all the components exactly as described. I installed the pads on my handlebars by first wrapping the bars with my own electrical tape (should I ever want to get rid of the foam, it'd make the job that much easier) and then, since I have bullhorn style handlebars, I just mounted the two larger pieces of foam & tossed the smaller pieces. I then consulted a certain popular bike repair video tutorial site and got to wrapping. I'd done my research & attempted to wrap correctly but the bumpy foam was difficult to wrap evenly, not to mention I simply didn't like the pleather tape which wasn't very sticky. I then finished the job with the electrical tape provided in the kit (just enough) near the clamp & slid in the rubber bar ends. I don't know what happened exactly, but my sleek new bike now looked as though it had elephantitis of the handlebar wrapping. As weeks progressed I got used to the look of the ugly bars only because they were SOOOOO COMFORTABLE OMG!!! Little by little, since the rubber bar ends kept popping out and the foam was trying to peel itself off the bars, the tape came undone and it just looked like total crap. The final straw was a day or two after a rainstorm, when I was still riding with what felt like a wet rag in my hands. I bought some new handlebar tape from a local bike shop, undid the old tape, wrapped the foam pads in electrical tape (to pin them down to the bars and also to make the final wrap more uniform) and then wrapped them in the new tape, ending the job with standard bar end plugs. My handlebars look beautiful now & everything feels secure and firm. I guess the one thing I'd suggest to anyone who might wrap the foam in electrical tape is to be aware of how tight you're wrapping. Too tight & you'll flatten out the pads which will lessen their shock absorption, too loose and you may as well not have used the electrical tape. If I'd just bought the shock absorption pads, I'd have probably given them 4 or 5 stars, but since I bought the whole kit I gave it two stars. I absolutely loved the pads but hated everything else, especially the end plugs which were constantly falling out! I purchased the kit because I thought I'd be saving money by getting an all-in-one, but in the end I spent more cash than if I'd bought just the pads and different wrap separately.

No more pain..,
I usually ride about 30 miles a day. After around 15 miles of riding I usually get considerable pain in my left wrist. the last 10 miles of my ride my wrist is usually killing me and I feel every bump in the road. By the end of the ride my wrist is in pain and usually numb. So I decideded to order this product and give it a shot. When I recieved this product I was a bit skeptical. It doesnt look like much. It pretty much is 4 flat padded strips that have adhesive on the back of them. You install them by pretty much glueing them over your handlebar tape. So I installed them like instructed and they didnt look bad once I got them on. They molded on to the handlebars well and appeared that they werent going anywhere anytime soon. So the true test was taking them on a ride. I rode my normal route. After 15 miles when my wrist usually is hurting I felt no pain at all. I then continued my ride and actually rode on a part of the trail that wasnt paved. About 10 miles of crushed limestone.. I have been on that part of the trail before and it causes more pain then usual in my wrist. But not this time. No pain at all. All of the normal bumps on my ride that usually send shockwaves up my arm I barely felt at all. It was like having shock absorbers on my bike. I finished the ride of 40 miles and I had no pain at all in my left wrist. I cant tell you how much easier this makes my ride. If you are experiencing any wrist pain I would strongly suggest this product. Its the best 26 bucks I ever spent on my bike..

After riding once with this wrap, and having even more hand pain than before, I trashed the wrap and got bullhorn bars. Now, no hand pain.

I recieved this pretty quick USPS standard. However I ordered the system, or so I thought. The box the wrap was in was a mess. The other items were fine as well as the outer box. The product box stated that this was indeed the system but there was NO bar tape inside as the box clearly stated there should be. When I did another search I found one for $14.99 with gray tape and one for 17.94 from the same vendor I bought from that states that it comes with black tape. It doesn't say it's on sale or clearance,(at the time of this writing). So why would they sell just the pillows for $20.60 and the entire set for $17.96? It's not worth my time and expence to send it back. Maybe that is what they counted on? Someone sent this back minus the tape and now they are trying to get rid of it for a bigger profit? What would you think? Product works great but... Buyer beware!

The package arrived with half the contents missing. The remainder looked like it had been dredged out of Lake P after Katrina. I returned the package and to Amazon's great credit, they refunded the purchase price and shipping entirely.
