How Aztec secret works Indian healing clay clays have been used for centuries to beautify and refresh when used as a facial mask. Cleopatra used clay from the Nile River and the Arabian Desert over 1800 years ago, as part of her beauty ritual. German and roman spas have been using clay packs and treatments in the spas they built 4,000 years ago. Many of these spas still exist and use clay even today. Pliney the elder devoted an entire chapter of his natural history" to the many uses of clay for pimples, black heads and skin tightening. Many famous naturopaths, such as kuhn, just and kneipp have contributed to the revival of the uses of clay through their natural treatments for arthritus and skin ailments. Aztec Indian healing clay a brief history - the world’s most powerful facial the use of clay with apple cider vinegar can be dated back to the southern French priest of the16th century, kneipp, and his natural treatments using clay packs and poultices. Throughout history the use of clay, specifically green clay or bentonite, is well documented. To learn more about clay, look for "our earth our cure" by Raymond Dexteit, translated by Michel Abehsera in your local health food store or book store. Aztec secret Indian healing clay is bentonite clay from Death Valley, California, where it is sun- dried for up to six months in temperatures that sometimes reach 134 degrees. Facials, acne, body wraps, clay baths, foot soaks, chilled clay for knee packs and insect bites. Enjoy the benefits of clay in your own home. Beautify and refresh.

If you want to clear everything out of your skin, this will do it. I have dry skin so I don't use vinegar, I use water. A friend of mine, who suggested this to me, has oily skin, large pores and breaks out a lot, so she uses the vinegar, and it works really well for her.

You do NOT have to use a lot. I put a very thin layer on my skin and it works just as well. Actually, better, because when I put it on thick, pieces of it would fall off my face. A thin layer does the trick, and it stays on your face even after it dries. Also, the less you use, the less it will clog your drains. It super tightens your skin, and my pores are noticeably smaller (and I never had large pores, but after using this and noticing the difference it makes, I guess my pores were getting bigger).

Your skin will be dry when you are done whether or not you have dry or oily skin, so moisturize after. Your skin will absorb anything you use very quickly, so I recommend a great moisturizer. I use Bel Essence Anti Aging Treatment - Intensive All Natural Anti-Wrinkle, Facial Lift Skin Care Formula - 1.5oz because it is the best all natural moisturizer I have found, and it replenishes your skin with vitamins, fatty acids, and omega 3s that your skin needs to be healthy. I tried other drugstore brand moisturizers, and the Bel Essence gives me the best results that last. It is the best all natural skin cream I have tried. The combination of completely cleaning your skin with this clay and then a great moisturizer is amazing. You will not believe how soft and smooth your skin is after this facial/moisturizer, and your pores are immediately smaller.

I use this mask like clockwork once a week, it deep cleans my pores and tightens my skin. I also use Skingenixx Face Cleanser Skingenixx Complete Exfoliating Facial Cleanser! and Moisturizer Skingenixx Hyaluronic Acid Facial Moisturizer.. I have been doing this as part of my routine in the morning and at night. My skin looks fantastic, no clogged pores and my skin is healthier, more vibrant and glowing! Add these to your skin care routine and in a few weeks you should see amazing results.

Seriously you guys, I have never used a product like this! I am a 27 year old female who still gets pimples, but once I become super stressed I break out horribly and get cystic acne that is of course painful. The stresses of life hit me real hard the beginning of the year and I started getting pimples around my chin, it started with one and then all of the sudden I had this whole army of pimples attacking my face and they were defeating me big time because I was becoming depressed and there wasn't enough makeup in the world to hide them. I tried so many things, but nothing was helping. I searched high and low and stumbled into this magic clay. I wish I found this sooner! Let me tell ya, I changed my whole face routine in hopes that my face will heal soon. This is what I did, I used this straight for about 4 days, I mixed it with the apple cider vinegar, and also, I diluted a tablespoon of the apple cider vinegar in water and drank it (no silly, without the clay) as it is good for you, don't worry about the taste...drink it really fast! :) I used the regular dove soap, the white bar as my face washing soap and I used rosewater as a toner, and my regular olay face cream. My goodness did my face heal fast! the clay, as disgusting as this may sound, but hey, isn't this why we're all here? it popped my pimples as I was washing it away. Of course I still have the spots, as we all know those take a while to go away, but my makeup can hide those better, and the rosewater is very gentle, too. I will continue to use this on a regular basis. I tell ya, give this a chance! you will NOT regret it.
ps: I rarely review things, and I never upload photos, but I really want to show you how my face was and how well this clay works.
The first picture is when I first started breaking out, and then the process of how the clay was working its magic :)

All you need is a sandwich bag.

1. Tie and pin back any hair. This stuff gets everywhere.

2. Put a scoop of clay into the sandwich bag. Add water or vinegar. Seal out all the air inside the bag and knead it into a smooth paste. Adjust with more clay or water as needed until you get your desired consistency.

3. Partially flip the sandwich bag inside out on your hand, like a glove. Apply the clay to your face with your bag-glove. Your hands don't get dirty and you won't need any additional utensils.

3. Let dry 10-15 min and remove with facial wipes (the pre-moistened kind). Alternatively, you can rinse it out into a basin or bowl, but don't do it into the sink or shower because it'll eventually clog your drains. It's mud.

4. Moisturize. The good thing about this sandwich bag method is that if you have any extra (and I always make too much), you can just keep it in the bag for the next use. You literally bought a jar of dirt off Amazon; don't waste it. Seal out all the air to keep it from drying.

[Protip #1: If you don't wash your hair every day, apply this stuff before you shower on a non-wash day. When you finish, just rinse it off. Time saver!]
[Protip #2: Dried, this stuff looks like boogers. So clean it out extra carefully around your nose to avoid awkward public situations.]

HOORAH. It's clean, it's cheap, and it's easy. And you won't have to throw out a single bit.

As for the review of the product itself, I can't attest to that as well as the other reviewers. I'm several years past my teenage bad-skin era. I use this mask to deep clean my pores around once a week, which it definitely does. This is in additional to cleanser/moisturizer 2x daily + exfoliating every few days so I have consistently good skin. However, the other reviews of this product's effectiveness are stellar, and that's what convinced me to buy. :)
