How Aztec secret works Indian healing clay clays have been used for centuries to beautify and refresh when used as a facial mask. Cleopatra used clay from the Nile River and the Arabian Desert over 1800 years ago, as part of her beauty ritual. German and roman spas have been using clay packs and treatments in the spas they built 4,000 years ago. Many of these spas still exist and use clay even today. Pliney the elder devoted an entire chapter of his natural history" to the many uses of clay for pimples, black heads and skin tightening. Many famous naturopaths, such as kuhn, just and kneipp have contributed to the revival of the uses of clay through their natural treatments for arthritus and skin ailments. Aztec Indian healing clay a brief history - the world’s most powerful facial the use of clay with apple cider vinegar can be dated back to the southern French priest of the16th century, kneipp, and his natural treatments using clay packs and poultices. Throughout history the use of clay, specifically green clay or bentonite, is well documented. To learn more about clay, look for "our earth our cure" by Raymond Dexteit, translated by Michel Abehsera in your local health food store or book store. Aztec secret Indian healing clay is bentonite clay from Death Valley, California, where it is sun- dried for up to six months in temperatures that sometimes reach 134 degrees. Facials, acne, body wraps, clay baths, foot soaks, chilled clay for knee packs and insect bites. Enjoy the benefits of clay in your own home. Beautify and refresh.

This review is a lot like the others. My skin type is super sensitive, extremely oily, and riddled with acne. All forms of acne. Whiteheads, black, heads, cysts. Acne that isn't just unpleasant to look at but actually hurts. I am very pale but my face always has been a shade of pink of red. Very uneven skin tone. And I'm allergic to salysilic acid. So most acne treatments do t work for me. But so far, this product has been great. It bas decreased the amount of oil my face produces and significantly made my pores smaller all while cleaning all the gunk out of them.

Only complaint so far, it is hard to clean up once you are done.DO NOT WASH IT DOWN YOUR DRAIN IT WILL BLOCK IT I PROMISE YOU. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS MUD.

I mix it with apple cider vinegar (which makes it smell kind a bad) and then lather it on my face. I make a big amount of it and store it in my kitchen so I can use it later. After putting it on my face I pet my cats or read a book for 20 to 45 minutes. I usually leave it on a long time because then it is easier to take off.

Now the hardest part. Taking this thing off your face. This is what I do. Go to the bathroom, stand over the sink and block your drain. I put two prices of paper towel in the sink to catch the falling mud chips. Then move your face. While you were petting cats or reading books or whatever for 20 to 45 minutes your face froze. So now move it around to break up the mud. Then just peel it off with your hands and collect it all in the paper towel. Then once all the big pits are off, throw all that mud into your compost (composting is awesome) if dont have a compost bin/dont live in the woods then toss it in the bin but think really hard about how awesome composting is.

Seriously you guys, I have never used a product like this! I am a 27 year old female who still gets pimples, but once I become super stressed I break out horribly and get cystic acne that is of course painful. The stresses of life hit me real hard the beginning of the year and I started getting pimples around my chin, it started with one and then all of the sudden I had this whole army of pimples attacking my face and they were defeating me big time because I was becoming depressed and there wasn't enough makeup in the world to hide them. I tried so many things, but nothing was helping. I searched high and low and stumbled into this magic clay. I wish I found this sooner! Let me tell ya, I changed my whole face routine in hopes that my face will heal soon. This is what I did, I used this straight for about 4 days, I mixed it with the apple cider vinegar, and also, I diluted a tablespoon of the apple cider vinegar in water and drank it (no silly, without the clay) as it is good for you, don't worry about the taste...drink it really fast! :) I used the regular dove soap, the white bar as my face washing soap and I used rosewater as a toner, and my regular olay face cream. My goodness did my face heal fast! the clay, as disgusting as this may sound, but hey, isn't this why we're all here? it popped my pimples as I was washing it away. Of course I still have the spots, as we all know those take a while to go away, but my makeup can hide those better, and the rosewater is very gentle, too. I will continue to use this on a regular basis. I tell ya, give this a chance! you will NOT regret it.
ps: I rarely review things, and I never upload photos, but I really want to show you how my face was and how well this clay works.
The first picture is when I first started breaking out, and then the process of how the clay was working its magic :)

After reading reviews of this product for quite some time, I decided to give it a try. The first time I used it, I saw a slight difference, but the second time was a WHOLE other story.

Some tips for maximum benefit:
1. Do NOT use a metal spoon or bowl when using this mask. It's true that it makes this product less effective.
2. They aren't lying when they say that this mask pulls everything out of you. It is a bit uncomfortable, but the longer you can leave it on, the better the results will be.
3. If you have oily/combination/acne-prone skin like me, you want to only use Apple Cider Vinegar (Braggs) instead of water or a combination of the two. You will get the best results.
4. Before removing, make sure that the mask turns more white/grey.
5. You can definitely remove it in the sink, I did not get any clogging in my drain whatsoever.
6. Your face gets VERY dry after using the mask, so make sure to apply a lot of moisturizer (sometimes 2-3 layers) - I also used a bit of tea tree oil as well.

The first time I used the product, I did not read the label and I used a metal spoon. The second time, I used a glass bowl and plastic spoon and my face was TRANSFORMED after about 20-25 minutes of wearing the mask. This is hands down the best mask I have ever used, although, a bit uncomfortable because you literally feel it draining the toxins out of your skin. I saw immediate results. Your face will be a bit red afterwards, but it will calm down in about 15-20 mins.
