For me, the original recordings (1972) of these great songs will always be the best. I literally wore this album out when I was in college. Rex and Neal's harmonies on these excellent songs, coupled with their wonderful guitar work have withstood the test of time -- thirty years later they are just as moving as they were back in the 70's. For many years, each trip to the CD store would start with a browse of the A-artists, but I could never find this CD. I finally tried their website (aztectwostep.com) and found I could order one there. I received an eMail from Rex himself and a signed CD a few days after placing my order. If you can find this CD, buy it and you'll treasure it as I have.

Like those reviewers before me, I also had worn out the grooves of the album that I had in college. And when I found their web site, I too ordered a copy of this masterpiece album, now on CD. No scratches when listening to the song, Strangers, with the intro of those chirping crickets. Just a beautiful song!! Every song on this is just great. So many different styles, from bluegrass to ballads, and just 2 great musicians strumming their acoustic hearts out, and singing lights out harmonies. The last song, Highway Song, is an ending to a fantastic disk. Go to their web site, and you can get this copy for a lot less. Also, sign on to their web site. You'll love there monthly newsletter.

I went online to shout about Aztec Two STep..and the reviewers above have said it all. One of the great albums of my college years AND it holds up now. Baking is a classic; hell, they all are. Get this CD ASAP.

I, too, wore this album out while I was in college....a few years later than 1972. If you haven't every heard Aztec Two Step, you are truly missing out on some terrific music. Add this CD to your collection...you won't be sorry!

This album is amazing but honestly if you want to buy it go to the bands website where it only costs $15

This is an excellent CD, by a pair of talented guitar players. Fun to listen to. On the Road is a great song.

Totally jazzed to see Aztec Two-Step available on CD. Probably, one of the all time favorites in my album collection. Brings back great memories when it was first released. My buddy and I used to perform a few of these songs, years ago.

I downloaded this one for my wife, who loves it BTW (the 5 stars are hers), and there seems to be a problem with the way the tracks were ID'd. Songs start out in mid chord on several tracks. More care should have been given to the conversion process. As it is, the download version of this one is sloppy.

Their first, and in my opinion, best album with great melodic ballads, harmonies matching CSN & Y, and catchy lyrics.
Where have these type of musicians gone?

A pleasant surprise for me - I hadn't heard them before.
