I get metal splinters from work all the time and I have a hard time seeing them well enough to get them out. Using the LiteUps Tweezers it is so easy to get out the splinters with the light focused on the area and the magnifying lens to help me see. Great Product!!!

I purchased these BebeSounds Lite Ups Clippers at another store back before our infant was born, since I had heard that babies can scratch their faces very easily. I very proudly started using these clips once my little girl was old enough (2-3 months of age) and her fingers were large enough to use a nail clipper. I laid her down on the bed so I could get to clipping. Once I was finished, I happened to touch the battery cover, which sits just under the thumb-holder (the batteries are used to power the light) and the cover very easily slipped off, causing the two watch-sized batteries to both drop within an inch of my baby's face!! I was horrified that something that was designed for infants would have a battery cover that was so easily removed!!

I put the batteries back into the clippers and then I put scotch tape over the cover to prevent it from coming off again! It does not take barely any force at all from your thumb for the cover to slide off, and the batteries freely fall right out of the unit once the cover is off. The way the cover is designed, it slides DOWN (as opposed to up) so two things are working against you. First, the natural position of your resting thumb on this cover will cause you to slide it off. Secondly, gravity takes over and the cover will fall down along with the batteries.

I believe that this item is DANGEROUS AS DESIGNED, and if you DO purchase it, PLEASE put tape over the battery cover before using it with your infant! I cannot imagine having to remove a battery (or TWO) from your little baby's throat!
