I report that my purchase of this great Jens Anso design is an excellent one just as a table top review. At the price point for such as piece, it is not what is considered a less expense option. Personally, anything over $100 is what I consider a category for a high end knife. The knife comes with a nice tri-fold presentation box and with it a nice red knife bag similar to what Benchmade includes with their products. I hear the standard bags are black, so it's a nice touch. Onto the knife itself.

o Features a very non-tactical appearance. Fit and finish was very good on mine and the blade is perfectly centered when closed.Build quality is extremely simple with an open construction frame with only two barrel pillars as standoffs. The scallopped G-10 handles are superb and the titanium framelock and blade are a beautiful stonewash. Lockup is solid. Mine engages at 90% but the framelock slab is much thinner than the blade thickness so it has room to wear. The slab is only about half as thick as the blade thickness so don't let that throw you off. The blade is 5mm thick. That's like fixed blade knife thickness on a folder.
o The steel is N690BO which is a quality steel that is new to me but is comparable to VG-10 which I do like. It should sharpen to a razor edge and hold it for a decent time.
o This is easily considered an EDC category knife and is rather light due to its size at 4.0 ounces. I would consider this a medium size knife as I prefer large folders with blade lengths 3.75 inches and larger. I do think it would take a tactical role poorly as the wharncliffe design is rounded twards the tip, not a straight, flat cut. It places the point too low on the blade to give good penetration. Fear not, it will excel in utility cutting.

Were it not for having to constantly tighten to keep the blade centered, this would be an automatic 5-star rating. The blade is awesome and wickedly (shaving) sharp. Edge retention is amazing. Handle is very comfortable and raised G10 texture feels very natural in hand. Titanium frame lock is thick and provides solid lockup. They have embedded what looks to be a tiny ceramic ball bearing in the lock, which contributes to a firm yet smooth opening. Sheep's foot shaped blade is extremely versatile and so thick on the back that it almost looks like a wedge, making it easy to apply substantial leverage to the back of the blade. Makes for a great non-tactical EDC.

Edit: I cannot say enough good things about the blade steel on this knife. It stays incredibly sharp, even after a day of cutting thick corrugated cardboard and then copper sprinkler wire...it still slices through paper easier than most knives do out of the box with no signs of wear or edge damage. A great balance of sharp and durable....incredible. The bead blasted finish shows no signs of wear or scratches, even after heavy use. The knife is easy to clean and sharpen. The blade also seems to be doing a better job staying center as the knife wears in...bumped up to 5 stars.

Fits the hand very well and the blade shape is quite usefull both for mundane task like opening boxes as well as tougher cutting challenges. Blade sharpness has held up nicely so far and the fit of the frame lock is good and solid. Looks great too!
