Biography

DAVID CROWDER*BAND, the Dove Award-winning six-piece, crafts compelling, inimitably progressive electronic rock. Think Radiohead meets Linkin Park. Compare that description with the fact that some even call them a worship band. The interesting thing is that you wouldn’t know it at all by listening to the band’s ambient and ethereal forthcoming record CHURCH MUSIC but CROWDER wants to be upfront… Read more in Amazon's David Crowder*Band Store

5.0 out of 5 stars If You Liked "Sunsets & Sushi"....You'll Enjoy This Album, June 27, 2006
This review is from: B Collision (Audio CD)
David Crowder*Band is beginning to fall into a routine. The last two major albums ("Illuminate" and "A Collision or (3+4=7)") have been released, followed by a "mix" CD and a book. (Yes, David Crowder releases "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven But Nobody Wants To Die: Or (The Eschatology of Bluegrass)" on September 9th this year.)

So, "B Collison or (B is for Banjo), or (B Side), or (Bill), or Perhaps More Accurately (...The Eschatology of Bluegrass)" is the "mix" CD for "A Collision or (3+4=7)." This CD gives a variety of versions of the hits in their major album. This CD is more of an acoustic/live CD unlike "Sunsets & Sushi" having a more electronic feel.

Though this CD lacks for new material (besides the extended versions of "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven" and "I Can Hear The Angels Singing (...andeverandeverand...)", fans will not be too depressed with it. The tracks on the CD, though they are not electronic, have a similar "feel" when you listen to it, reminding you that you are listening to the genious of the David Crowder*Band.

This is a must have if you enjoyed "Sunsets & Sushi" and "A Collision or (3+4=7)"!

5.0 out of 5 stars David Crowder Band+Frank Peretti(Banjo, I mean)=One Great CD, July 21, 2006
By
Caleb Newell (Harrisonville, PA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: B Collision (Audio CD)
No, Frank Peretti does not proform on the cd, I said that because he does play the Banjo. Which is what Collision B means Collision Banjo. This cd is one of a kind. The DC*B is always just trying to get to the root of worship and doesn't care how they do it, just so they are glorify God. With, this cd they decided to use the Banjo to do just that.

This cd take songs from Collision A and re-amps them, with this great collection of live and studio song there is no way that you will be disappointed. If you enjoy Bluegrass or your just sick of the same old same all then collide into Collision B. If your going to get this cd I suggest getting Collision A as well to hear the original song in it's original version. Don't take my word for it hear it for yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy, but Beautiful., September 14, 2006

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: B Collision (Audio CD)
This is an awsome extension to their album A Collision. I like bluegrass, or hoedown music and that is what most of this is. Some songs have a heavy feel to it, though. I believe this is so because it says in their "album booklet" that their pastor died. They already created an album about death, A Collision, but they didnt expect this. So they remixed or "Acoustic-ted" some songs. I like this album, and Im sure if you like David Crowder at all, you will like it too. P.S. I love the banjo.
