At first unboxing, B-Daman was not promising for this father of 4. After we got it all set up and the stickers put on the game we played a couple rounds. Things get competitive when that last red brick is left in the middle. Reloading your character with more ammo is amusing while everyone is scrambling for those marbles.

This game proved a couple of hours of fun for the kids as well and my wife and I.

Overall i'd recommend this game to anyone with a child of any age.

My kids were VERY excited when the B-Daman Break Bomber Battlefield Set arrived. We received it free from Hasbro as part of a promotional trial from Chatterbox.

They immediately tore into the box and took it right outside to share with all the neighbor boys and girls. I didn't see them again for hours AND when I did ALL the pieces came home with them - a feat in and of itself.

So many children's games and toys are unfittingly competitive, but this was just fun for everyone. It satisfies both the creative AND destructive/battle aspects of little boys personalities in a heathy and fun way.

We received this set for free from Hasbro to review and my kids loved it. I have six kids (five of them old enough to play) and it was often a fight to see who would play next. The object of the game is to shoot three of the red blocks onto your opponent's side to win the game. The game is really fast pace and only takes under a minute to play. My kid's only complaint was that the marbles and blocks often shot off of the table during game play--other than that, they really loved the game.

I received the B-Daman Break Bomber Battlefield Set from House Party for free to review. The box looked good and my kids were excited to try it out. After opening the box and noticing all the pieces I had to assemble, I was already liking this game a little less. My box had no assembly instructions so I had to put it together by looking at the box. Finally it was assembled and the children started playing. For a battlefield, this set up is entirely to weak to blast marbles. It fell apart repeatedly throughout their play. Very disappointed and will not be adding anymore B-Daman to our household. This set will not have any longevity in my home.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
The B-Daman Crossfire Break Bomber Battlefield Set is an eye-catching toy, especially with the Thunder Dracyan and Lightning Dravise figures. However, the game's style points are squandered with plastic flimsiness and a lack of replay value.

Probably the fastest thing you'll discover about the B-Daman Crossfire Break Bomber Battlefield Set is how quickly it will bore your children. My sons (11-year old and 10-year old) played the game twice, each winning a game, before they asked me if they could stop and go play with something else.

"It felt like Pokemon and not as strategic as Magic the Gathering," said Kai, my 11-year old. "It isn't as fun as it looks. The game says it is for ages six and up but it really is too simple for kids older than 8."

PROBLEMS

* The trigger is touchy. B-Da marbles stick in the magazine.

* Once the B-Daman figures is loaded with B-Da marbles, the figure is top heavy and easily falls over.

* When marbles strike each other, especially the heavier marbles, they tend to fly outside the Break Bomber Battlefield.

* The B-Daman figures are not durable. I cautioned my sons to play with them gently but it is easy to see why so many people report the game breaks.

Rating: One star.

BTW: If the Japanese B-Daman toys seem familiar, that's because the toy industry has become quite adept at squeezing huge profits out of combining animated TV shows and collectible toy sets. For example:

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
The game is somewhat similar to connect four in the sense that you're trying to knock three blocks into your opponents quarters, but you're not dropping objects, you're shooting the blocks out with marbles.

My son was very excited about the game, after all, what boy doesn't like something which shoots an object? We put everything together, I showed him how to use it, and off we went.

Shooting the marbles at the blocks, and knocking them through. A couple of reload timeouts and my bomber broke. There is a piece of plastic which holds in one of the side arms, containing a blue piece of plastic. Once this broke, the blue plastic fell out and the actuator for the marble shooter now malfunctions. The spring just flops all around and the bomber is completely useless.

The game is now bundled up in a plastic bag to decide if it'll go in the trash or just be used as a one player game.

My boys and their friends were so excited to get this delivered to our house. However, that excitement quickly waned as one of the figures got jammed and would no longer shoot the marbles. We were able to fix it by pressing the inner arms back into place with a precision screwdriver, but honestly we shouldn't have had to do that after only one round of play. The figure works now, but not as well as the other one in the box.
