First a disclaimer, all the cameras I used with this belt / mount are M43's (GF1 and EM5), if you own a larger / heavier camera setup, your mileage may vary.

I've always hated carrying my cameras on a neck strap, the strain on the neck, the constant banging of the camera to your torso as you walk, the fear that the camera can swing out and hit something... essentially, it means you have to always have one hand holding the camera. Alternatively, you can store the camera in a good camera messenger bag or a sling, and the 10 seconds it takes fiddling with the zippers and getting the camera out can mean missing out on a shot. Putting the camera back is another hassle, eventually a lot times you end up hand-holding the camera all the way.

The Evo Camera Belt is a great solution.

Pros:

The materials and construction all seem very sturdy, the extra red security lock very useful.
The camera release is fairly quick, I can get my camera out in 5 seconds or less. Putting it back takes about the same time.
With the camera pointing down, I no longer worry about my telephoto lens jutting outward and hitting random objects.
The Evo's quick release plate is compatible with quite a few high end tripods.
The WDS (weight discharge system) works by spreading the weight of the camera over a larger area, making cameras feel lighter on your hip. Not particularly useful for M43s but it does work.
More importantly, the WDS prevents your lens from hitting your thighs or catching your pants.
You can attach the plates to your own belt, or the webbing supplied. Flexibility is always good.
Wearing the webbing belt a little loose means you can swing the camera front to back by rotating the webbing.

While all the individual components are quite sturdy, the system is pretty flimsy. Even if I tightened the belt as much as I could comfortably handle, the camera would still either rotate on the quick-release or the mounting bracket would rotate on the belt. This caused the camera to lose it's alignment with my thigh and either swing toward the front or back of my leg. The constant need to readjust the camera became bothersome during a wedding shoot where I used this to hold a second body/lens while my main camera was on a BlackRapid strap.

I would prefer if the mounting plate could be lengthened and a second strap affixed to the bottom so that it securely wraps around the bottom of the thigh. This would likely prevent the irritating rotation of the mounting plate.

I put many miles on uneven ground into my first use of the B-Grip belt and it passed muster with ease. It was so nice to not have my camera swinging back and forth while walking and having both hands free to handle other tasks. Three days of steep stairs and hilly terrain at the new Formula 1 track in Austin Tx and not a single complaint. If you are a photographer and do alot of walking then this belt strap is for you.

Hello Everyone,
2 years ago I started a search/research for a camera holster. Something that would be easy to use, safe while also considering my active life style such as remote travel, hiking and biking. I did not care to look like a SWAT team member, I don't like anything hanging around my neck and I did not care for 4K set up bouncing around my waist. So when I found the B Grip I was sold on it and bought 2 of them and additional plates, the plates also fit very nice on my Manfrotto head. The product has performed very well with out any issues. But one item to note, you must every so often clean the rubber plate with alcohol, it will improve the already strong grip.

3 week ago after another short research of what is out there I bought the newest versions of the B Grip, another good design, they added more safety items to the already safe design. So far the performance is 100%. Anyone looking for camera holster should try this one, you can use it blind folded, no joke! I use 2 othem
in my studio.

I did look at another new interesting mechanical holster, very sim to Spider but I think most ratings came from investors so decided not to purchase at this time.

Hawaii, Florida, Alaska, Belize and 6 pro events. Still gets 5*

Good luck!

I price-matched the B-Grip here and purchased at local BB. Overall, it's a good design and the materials seem to be solid and it's made in Italy! :) However, it can't hold up with full frame body with grip and heavy pro lens (and not design for flash). I tried the B-Grip with D700+grip+70-200 2.8 or even the shorter 24-70 2.8. The whole thing tipped off to my side. It's very uncomfortable and unstable to carry and walk around. I was afraid to damage the lens mount due to the downward pointing position and the pull at the battery grip and body. It got better without the grip, but still not comfortable to walk around.
I returned the B-Grip and got the Spiderpro Holster and it's a much better way to carry heavy gears at the waist level. It's comfortable and I can release the camera quickly. The lens is not pointing downward and can add a flash too. It costs 2-3X more than the B-Grip but I think it's worth it for heavy equipments, and especially good for events/professional use. Nonetheless, the B-Grip is good design for smaller DSLR and light weight prime lens.
