I was given this bag as a gift for Christmas 2008. I noticed that by the end of January, the handles are already notched and cracked. This bags handles didn't last a month without looking worn! Everthing else is holding up ok, but the handles look really crappy.

I don't know how to get in touch with the manufacturer, there is no manufacturer website that I can find. I would like new handles, or a new bag. This bag was less than a month old before looking worn and cracked!

I purchased this item January 24th, 2009. By the end of February the handles were cracked and worn looking. The rest of the bag looked ok, but not great. It is currently now June 1, 2009 and I'm fed up with carrying a cracked, worn looking $200 piece of junk so I emailed B. Makowski's customer service trying to get someone to replace the handles under their warranty over "quality and craftsmanship". I was told that B. Makowski is only a wholesaler and that if I had a problem with the bag, then I needed to return it to the store I purchased it at....ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? There is NO repair option for a $200 purse, I can only take it back and receive a new one (that will, within a month, look exactly the same) or get my money back? What a crock! I'm so very disappointed with this company, I had high hopes that they could be a quality, lower-priced option for cute leather styles of handbags. Instead, they turned out to be a giant rip-off! Save your money and buy something else. What a piece of crap :(

I have the Phonix North/South B Makowsky bag and it is my first B Makowsky! I am a small bag kinda person, but this is just awesome! It is big, but feels just right. The leather is second to none and it hangs just right on my shoulder. I am very picky about my purses, and love this one. It is really big! But it is ok...because it is not only a big bag, but a statement! And it feels so good to wear! I bought the brandy color and will be able to wear it all year if I want!!!
