A bit of a let down but still good,

This review is from: B.P.R.D., Vol. 10: The Warning (Paperback)
I wanted to give this 3 1/2 stars but of course that is impossible. I love the BPRD series and from number 3 onwards it has been fantastic and in a way that is why I am giving this a fairly low rating. The Killing Ground was a great episode and this one after it is a bit of a let down compared to that. The art by Guy Davis is still awesome but the story was a muddle and I couldn't quite get my head around it. Ok, Memnan Saa gives out visions of the Ogdru Hem destroying the world then he gives visions of the Hyperborians destroying it! Huh? Then again perhaps this will all be explained later. Anyway there were just too many things going on in this volume, frogs, Memnan Saa, romantic relationships, Kraus and his homeland memories, Panyas motherly homilies, more frogs, crazy germans, the black flame... All these characters are great, just a bit too much in one volume for me. Anyway as I said the quality of the previous volumes may have made me expect more. Don't get me wrong though, this is a great series and I will eagerly purchase the next one!
