An excellent introduction about B-29,
By Dalton C. Rocha (Fortaleza, CE, Brazil.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: B29, the Superfortress (Paperback)
I read t his excellent book, here in Brazil. This book is very short, concise and 100% correct.Has many photos;all are black & white. You can read it, in less than two hours.I'm an agronomist, but I could understand all of this book.
There's some pages, only about B-29 bombing of Tokyo, in 1945.More japaneses were killed in this bombing, than in any of atomic bombings, in august 1945. Some pages about the use of this massive bomber against Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in august 1945.Some informations about B-29 use, after World War II.The first chapters are about the design and construction of this massive bomber. This book is an excellent introduction about B-29.If you want details, choose another book, but as a short introduction, about B-29, this book remains excellent. |
