5.0 out of 5 stars Seriously...wow
I just opened my Baby Wow product and played a bit with my 22 month old son. My instant reaction to this is that it's unlike any other product on the market. My older son has quite a collection of CD-rom learning tools, ranging from the very basic to those for elementary school grades. This baby product is so cool...multicultural, multinational. 3.0 out of 5 stars Eh
I was excited to get this because of the other reviews. All the "games" are just any key advance games. Course that seems to be what you get for most baby games. I was looking for a little more cause in effect. Can't D bring up a dog (or various dogs) versus just advancing to the next picture?

I just opened my Baby Wow product and played a bit with my 22 month old son. My instant reaction to this is that it's unlike any other product on the market. My older son has quite a collection of CD-rom learning tools, ranging from the very basic to those for elementary school grades. This baby product is so cool...multicultural, multinational. The best thing about it that it doesn't try too hard to be gimmicky. I honestly believe that learning at the age for which it is intended is best done when things are kept basic. This program has clear, real life photos/images from around the world. The child can manipulate the choices and games with the push of any key. And it really does speak in 8 languages. I cannot imagine a better use of $20 when it comes to commercial computer products. I got mine for $19.95 at lingohouse.com and shipping was really fast. I doubt that anyone would be disapppointed in this product either alone or in conjuction with other products on the market.

5.0 out of 5 stars BabyWOW indeed!, December 29, 2005
This review is from: BABY WOW 2 (CD-ROM)
My son, who is barely two, started playing with this about a week ago and is now a "mouse master." He can open/exit the program by himself and navigate through the basic menu to play the games he wants. There are no "wrong clicks," so it's very easy to use. Includes counting, colors, "first words," opposites, body parts, etc. Really is an amazing program that requires "active" participation. Much better than sticking your kid in front of a video for twenty minutes. I'd recommend this to any parent with an extra computer sitting around the house.
