Seat Helps Babies Develop Balance While Having Fun
Whether you're around the house or at the park on a summer day, the unique design of the Babysitter Balance utilizes babies' movement to generate a natural, rocking motion, so they can entertain themselves for hours--all without the use of batteries. By creating his or her own movement, your baby will develop balance and build important motor skills.

The chair can be securely locked into three different positions so your baby can sleep, rest, and play in comfort. The chair is suitable for newborns and holds up to a maximum weight of 29 pounds. When your baby is old enough to sit down in the Babysitter on his or her own, you can remove the restraint system and it will become a comfortable resting chair.

I hardly ever write reviews, but for this product I just had to. I have a 4 year old son that I wish I would have discovered this chair sooner.... I am a big fan of reading parents reviews and couldn't find many on this particular item.... I have a 2 month old right now and I was researching bouncers before she was born, I had a large swing that was my sons which he loved.... I needed something a little more compact. Well let me just tell you , I was a little skeptical on spending that kind of $$ on a bouncer.... But it had a couple of pros light weight, can be washed, and can be folded for trips to grandma's house. I have had this bouncer since my daughter was 1 week old and she LOVES it, and so do I.... as a tiny infant she would fall asleep on it as her own motion would rock her, and she looked so comfy, I also purchased the wood toy, which at 1 week old didn't really make sense. My daughter just turned 8 weeks and she has finally learned to push it coo at it... It was amazing watching her... she still falls asleep in it and she looks so peaceful. And the best part is they didn't name it babysitter for nothing!!! It's my babysitter when I am cooking, cleaning, and just trying to do anything.... she even watches my son as he plays all around the house and runs around, now I can position her to the second level, but we still use the first. I can't say better things about this, especially now that I realize she isn't a great fan of the swing!!! Moms and Dads take it from a Mom that does her research... this will be one of the best purchases you can make, yes it's pricey, but honestly it's priceless!!! Can't put a price on a happy baby!!!! And get the wooden toy!!! I wish I could give this bouncer 10 stars!!!! and once they can walk they can still sit in it!!!... Hope this helps any undecided parents!!! As the proud parents of three children, we have discovered that each child is very different. The baby equipment that works great for one child does not work at all for another. This is the first time we have tried a bouncer like this one, and it has been a hit. Our two month old son loves it. I would highly recommend also getting the toy bar that attaches across the front. We bought the Babybjorn, even though it is more expensive, because it is light and it folds down very small. It has worked out wonderfully for us.

This chair is great. High quality construction, it folds flat, no assembly required. 3 positions to choose from, and the Air-mesh design is great for a humid climate. The chair is solid, no wobbling in any position, non slip grip on the bottom, (works very good) and the chair looks nice. Another word about the mesh, you can put your baby in the chair (diaper only) and face their back to the sun and safely give them natural sunlight through the mesh. You can also put a fan (safe distance of course) behind the chair and keep your baby cool because of the mesh design. It's strong mesh, don't worry about it tearing or ripping. After using a FP baby chair then moving up to this it was worth every penny. The difference in quality is night and day. I hope this helps anyone that may be on the fence about spending the money.

Questioned if the price was going to be worth it. YES! I also own a small bright starts bouncer that was given to me as a gift, we put that upstairs and this one downstairs. The first 2 weeks of my sons life we compared and questioned if the 30$ VS $Bjorn was worth it other then Bjorns good looks for our kitchen/living room. Now 6 months into it we stopped using the cheapo one around 3-4 months and still use this one daily! In the cheap one my son always was crooked and his neck/head all crunched to one side. All he could do was lay there, with the Bjorn he can move his limbs about. Boy does he really get this thing bouncing and then just laughs and laughs. We also loved the adjustable settings because as he gained better head controll we could put him more upright and reduce the pressure of laying on his back/head thus avoiding flat head. Plus he prefered it. The fact that it folds flat is awesome too. We stowe it away when we have guests and we have packed it in the car when traveling so we could use it at hotels etc. So far I have washed this item a few times and it still looks great and it was easy. If your concerned about it not lasting to the age it claims I can at least say I had a friends hefty 17 month old boy sitting and bouncing in it and it withheld just fine. Really happy with this product.

We love this bouncy chair! It's a bit big for our newborn, but he is still able to use it especially if it is in the most reclined position which supports his head. The best part is that it matches our flooring so we can leave it out all the time without having ugly baby items cluttering our living space. It is very portable so we'll take it outside, in the office, or in the bathroom where he can be with us while we get a few things accomplished. We've found that you can secure the loops of a taggie blanket to the buttons which gives him something interesting to look at. He liked this so much that I made him more just for this purpose.
The mesh backing seemed like a good idea for the Texas climate, and it appears to have been a good choice. We haven't had any stains on it yet or had to wash it, so I can't say how it cleans.
The amount of bounce it has seems appropriate too. You can aid your baby's rocking by lightly tapping your foot on the frame. Even the cats rock him when they walk by!
