This baby carrier is made of good quality. It is easy to put on and take off, and allows you to adjust it according to your build. But it digs into your shoulder muscles when you carry a baby around after 15 minutes. I can last much longer with the Moby Wrap and the Ergo Baby.

If you're going for this one, there are infantino and jeep model carriers that costs 1/3 of the price and work just the same. If you have some money to invest in a carrier I'd go with the Ergo or Beco Baby.

If you'd like a list of the top baby carriers and how carriers differ, visit the website AllMomsArePerfect.com and look under baby gear essentials. You'll find a baby carrier guide, stroller shopping and crib buying guide, and what to expect during delivery, recovery, and how to get sleep after baby comes along.

I(mom) own the ERGO and the Baby Bjorn Active and a sling, and have used a Snugli. The ERGO is by far the best baby carrier out there. All of the others hurt my shoulders/neck after 15-30 minutes. The ERGO is comfortable, and distributes most of the weight to my hips/legs. I've been on many hikes (20+) with Kai(baby) in the ERGO, the longest being 7 miles (almost 4 hours), with no problems. Our first hike was when he was 3 weeks, and we are still hiking with the ERGO at 7 months. He loves it, and falls asleep in it every time we go hiking. The only problem is that you can't have the baby face out. For the first 3 months, that didn't matter- Kai was perfectly happy to face me and snuggle in- I used the head cover for shade and he slept happily... At 4 months, he wanted to see what was going on, but he couldn't hold up his head well enough to sit in the ERGO 'backpack' fashion, so I bought the Baby Bjorn Active. Kai liked it, Lars(dad) liked it, I tolerated it for up to 45 minutes, but just couldn't bear any hike longer than that. Also, Kai's legs hang down in front so that they hit your legs when you walk uphill- irritating to Lars. Kai also can't really sleep in the Baby Bjorn. (I'm sure he would have when he was little and facing inward, but with him facing outward, there isn't a comfortable sleep position for his head.) We use the Baby Bjorn for short trips, like in stores and around the house, and its great for that, but we started using the ERGO as a backpack for long hikes again when Kai turned 6 months. He loves looking around, and when he falls asleep, I just put the head cover on to help hold his head next to me. I haven't figured out how to get him in the ERGO backpack fashion by myself yet, so I have to get help for that.Read more ›

We should have picked this up initially. However, we bought the basic model second hand from Monkey's Uncle in Capitol Hill (GREAT STORE!!!). If your child prefers facing out when being carried, this is a MUST. 30-45 minutes of carry time allows me LOTS of freedom to get things done and lost 8-10 pounds in about 2 weeks...

My husband LOVED this carrier with my daughter and used it quite a bit. She liked this a lot more than the wrap, but she loved facing outwards. After doing a bit more "research" I learned that this carrier isn't the healtiest for their leg and hip development as it's a "crotch dangler." That scared me quite a bit - although she's developed just fine now at age 2. I also thought this quite pretyt big and bulky on me - 5'3" and about 125 pre-pregnant.

For my newborn son, I talked my husband into buying an ERGO which doesn't harm their legs/hips like this could potentially do. The downfall is that the ERGO only allows them to face inwards. We also really like the Moby wrap.

Overall, if you're not concerned about the risks of their legs/hips than this is a great, sturdy, quality product, but the risks scared me too much.

Bought this carrier for my 6mo. Easy to use. I took my son to a shopping mall during spring time and he was wearing a cotton sleep&play. I found he had sweat around his belly after ~30 min in the carrier. It will be too hot for the baby during summer time.

We love our baby bjorn. Once adjusted, it's really easy to use, especially when I'm home alone (the Ergo was harder to use without my husband) and the lumbar support is great.

Best thing I ever bought! I have almost a 2 month year old.. and this has been a life saver to my back, and to the baby. As we all know baby's are highly demanding and want to be held all the time, nor do we want to haul around the carrier all the time either. Which is humanly impossible for me to do with back issues. So.. I love it for a couple reasons:
1. Does not hurt my back like other carriers I tried. (Ergo baby ect.)
2. I can wear this longer than holding the baby.
3. The carrier is adjusted based on their height, and the baby gets support on the natural curve of his back and behind his head.. which is adjustable based on the size of the baby's head.
4. Once the baby is old enough to hold their own head, we can just simply flip them around to see what's going on.
5. Finding a carrier that is completely adjustable on my changing body, and the Husband's body even fits it!! BTW-- it can fit a mans chest and waist approx 47 inches.. the customer service reps for the company are also great and can answer any odd ball questions.
Hope this helps and enjoy!
