As professional clippers go this is one of the best clippers I've ever worked with. It cuts fast, quiet. So far can't find anything bad to say about it, it's worth the money..

Purchased the Babyliss Pro Forfex as a lower cost alternative to the high-end Oster units. My sons have thick hair, and the drugstore/walmart vibrating clippers pulled their hair and didn't cut very well.

The FX687BX exceeded my expectations. It cuts neatly and quickly without pulling or jamming. It's compatible with Oster accessories and makes home hair cutting much easier.

This model is bigger and heavier than the smaller/cheaper models, but really cuts hair well.

I am a barber and got this clipper hoping that it would keep up with the demand. I never really had a chance to find out but it was no fault of the manufacturer. The locking mechanism that keeps the blade in place broke when another barber dropped it on the blade. I called the manufacturer, conair. I called and was told that they do not sell replacement parts for these clippers. They said I could send it to them and they could check to see if it was a warranty issue and possibly replace them. I doubt they will warranty a clumsy barber issue. so right now this clipper is useless.
the other problem I have with these clippers is in the short time I did get to use them, the non slip grip coating on the clippers started coming off and now look like some kind of Chernobyl accident. This does not effect the performance of the clippers but it sure does look ugly. However this may not be an issue for non barbers that do not use clippercide or similar products this may not ever happen.

I bought this hair clipper for the guys in the house - husband and two sons. They had been using a clipper left over from Spanky and the Gang! Time to upgrade the boys! The clippers have been used by all the guys and everyone gives this set an A+. It is definitely worth the price and we all recommend this product.

These are a great alternative to the Oster 76066-010 Star Teq Professional Hair Trimmer, pretty equal performance wise. They are also much cheaper, and better looking. Plus they come with guides 1-4. I use these professionally and I highly recommend these clippers.

Not sure if it was just the one I purchased, but the metal guard gets hot within a minute and stays quite hot. Pretty much unable to use it without another comb set over it or it will burn the persons scalp

Great clipper for the price. I really like the locking mechanism for the blades. The power of the motor can cut wet or dry hair easily. If you need a nice motor clipper pick this one up.

the top and bottom blades don't meet, so it doesn't shave close to the skin. its not even close to a normal buzz cut. the claim that the ceramic blades stay cooler than usual clippers is a joke. the bottom plate is still metal and was burning hot within minutes. it got hotter than the clipper it was replacing, which starting overheating after about a year of use. i thought i was taking a big step up from standard clippers but the fancy features ended up being worthless.

I bought these clippers along with the other clippers. Just like the others, they are not made of steel so we will see how they last over time. So far so good though!
