...Sure it took a week longer than I would have wanted, but it was so worth the wait. This DVD comes loaded with complete coverage of the Manu Chao concert from Paris where the Radio Bemba Live album was recorded, and includes songs like M. Boogie that were left out of the CD recording. Plus behind the scenes of Radio Bemba and Manu traveling the world on tour. Quality stuff. But the most interesting section of the DVD is called "Infinita Tristeza." It's a half hour of Manu's travels in guerilla states in Bolivia (Potosi), Ecuador (undisclosed), and Mexico (Chiapas). Here Manu and Radio Bemba play for free in front of either a handful of indigenous people in farm communities, or in front of a couple of dozen guerillas, many covering their faces and holding fire arms. Intriguing. Get this DVD now!

Manu Chao on the screen!,

Hurray! After enjoying his music, I can finally see him perform. The two creative documentaries at the end are fascinating. They are real art work and the llama killing is family related. It is a tradition in Bolivia. I suggest researching it. It is amazing how Manu captures Bolivia, Ecuador and other towns. I also like to see how he performs with el pueblo. The creativity is amazing and I really enjoy his message. Hearing it is one thing, seeing it as art is another. Manu Chao is a unique artist. His music is for the world to hear and watch. It is family entertainment, beacuse no one should ignore his message. Suerte

This is the best live concert I've watched on DVD, the rhythms, sound, lights, etc...this concert was taped in Paris in front of a very involved audience, but who wouldn't, Manu Chao is amazingly entertaining, the adrenaline stays up all the time, every song is a world to discover, I assure you "disappointment" is not a word you'll have in your head while watching this DVD..

I must say I was a bit skeptical when I bought this. For one I spend over $30 at my local record shop and two I wasn't sure how dynamic Manu would be live on stage! Let me tell you all it was very much worth it and I regret not going to see him perform live before. Hopefully one day I will!

lot of people + Projector + this DVD = Great great evening.
Manu Chao music in concert is simply amazing. I saw him two times, in Qc city (2003) and NY (2006) and every time, it's 100% energy. The DVD is a must for everyone. Very nice cam angle, good sound, exciting crowd and 9 incredible musicians in very good shape this evening. Hey, this is a title you can miss.

This DVD features songs from concerts recorded on Paris plus 3 documentals about the tour, about genova and manu's travels/recordings. The quality of video is pretty good and the audio is actually better than Radio Bemba's Live CD (the concert featured on this DVD has a similar setlist)

Where do I start... this truly is a must piece for any Manu Chao fan. The DVD has several pieces, my favorite one being the concert in France. It is a very high-energy all throughout. It makes me wish I had been there.
Manu is a very talented artist who creates very intriguing and mesmerizing songs in the most simple of ways. To me, he is one of my favorite artists right alongside Bob Marley. He sings about love, about social issues, and having a good old time. You will find people criticizing him for smoking marihuana or for some other content in the different sections of the DVD... particularly the one involving a llama. Manu travels around the world in order to experience new cultures, to see what their traditions and customs are, and how simple life can be outside of the big cities of the world, where corruption is abundant, some where violence rule parts of them, and some where poverty is in an alarming state. In the llama scene he watches the locals making an offering to the earth. Is it right, or this wrong? People will judge based on their beliefs and their own culture instead of being open-minded and understanding of other ways of life. We are one world with many differences in customs, languages, traditions, religions, etc... These can bring us together, they take us to war, and they set us apart, etc. "Hey Mr. Marley, sing something good to me, this world go crazy, it's an emergency..."

Great video from a great band. The tour video is really interesting, focusing more on the band than Manu himself... or rather, you get Manu from a circular perspective by observing the band in action; this segment is very well done; Then there is a live concert; it's okay. Then Manu's own directorial bit, with an extended music vid featuring lots of snippets of footage... kind of weird, but good in parts; there is good footage of the band playing remote countryside villages in South America. If you're a fan, I can't imagine you wouldn't enjoy this video. There's good philosophizing happening in it too. Punk Cookery, The Punk Rocker's Cafe Cookbook, Vegetarian Specialties

I have been a Manu Chao fan for many years now, and have had the privelege to have seen him in concert twice, once in San Diego, and more recently in Tijuana. The passion and energy of his music will stay with you for life. His message is one of justice and love for humanity. This is my favorite music DVD by far. It is so honest and fills one up with excitement and envy because to be free like that seems impossible. The abstract documentary which has the llama scene is like a collage of thoughts and expressions running through the mind of this man and those who are with him. One has to understand it for the overall message. To look at it literally will only confuse the viewer. The concert is awesome and gives people a sense of what an experience going to his concert truly is. Watching it on a DVD is one thing, but experiencing it firsthand is entirely different. This is meant to show people what Manu Chao is all about, and hopefully it will draw people to an artist who has the rare ability to enable people to envision a world of peace, justice, and one in which borders are broken down.
