Important Information

Safety Information
Do not use the BACtrack S50 as a tool to determine whether you should operate a motor vehicle or equipment, or perform any other dangerous act. Always have a designated driver when alcohol is being consumed.

Directions
Insert a disposable mouthpiece then press the POWER button to turn on the BACtrack. The total number of tests performed since the last service is briefly displayed and then a countdown sequence begins.

When the countdown approaches 10, begin to inhale a deep breath. When the countdown reaches zero, the READY light will flash and two beeps will sound. Blow hard, continuously, for five full seconds. While a user is blowing, the BACtrack will sound a continuous tone.

Keep blowing until two beeps are heard. Once the sensor technology has analyzed the breath sample, the estimated BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) value is flashed on the screen.

This thing might be semi-accurate up to about 3 or 4 drinks but past that absolutely and completely off the mark. I recieved one, tried it many many times (following the guidelines in the handbook), and finally sent it back and they replaced it with a brand new one. Rinse and repeat... a couple of times it has registered me at a .40 .... evidentally i was dead at the time. Might as well buy something much cheaper, because it can't be off by much more than this thing. (

I have a breathalyzer on my car so thought this would be helpful. It will read 0.02 one test, then 0.1 only moments later. One day I had been driving most of the day, with my breathalyzer, came home and used the BACtrack just to see and it read 0.05. The car breathalyzer is sensitive to 0.01, thats a failure, just like this product.

I purchased this product for the sole reason of making sure that I had no alcohol on my breath in the morning after working at a bar at night as my second job. This thing is terrible! If you have had a DUI and are trying not to ever get another, this is not for you. This device according to the IID that was in my car is at least .04 off every time. I drink a lot so I don't always feel hung over but this thing put me in danger of getting another DUI even when I was below the legal limit. Please don't buy this, not even for fun. Anytime someone can sit there and have five or six drinks, wait the 20 minutes, then blow and register .00, to me this means it just doesn't work. I've tried to contact the company and they won't respond. If I could give it negative stars I would.
